Lyallpur Khalsa College Organizes One Day Blood Donation Camp

NSS Unit & Red Ribbon Club of Lyallpur Khalsa College in collaboration with PIMS Jalandhar and Blood Connect organized One Day Blood Donation Camp in the college campus. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh inaugurated the camp. In his address, he informed that there are only 8 donors per thousand people in India. Due to road accidents, thalassemia and other medical conditions patients requiring blood have increased in the last decade. He added that blood donation is the supreme donation. Later, he donated his blood to inspire the young students of the college. NSS Chief Program officer Prof. Satpal Singh told that NSS volunteers held placards to motivate the students to donate blood. There was more than 60 footfall for this camp.  During this camp, Prof. Soman Goyal and Prof. Annie Goyal also donated blood. National Sports Day was celebrated at Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar

  Punjab State Football League match was played at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar. On this occasion, Sh. Anil Sehgal was the chief guest. The match was played between the teams of I.T.B.P. Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar is scaling new heights in academics, sports as well as co-curricular activities. In recently concluded Paris Olympics 2024 games, two students of the college Jarmanpreet Singh and Sukhjit Singh were part of the bronze medal winning Hockey Team. A special program was organized in the campus to honour them. The program was presided by S. Jaspal Singh Waraich, Joint Secretary, Governing Council. Punjab State Football League match was organized at Lyallpur Khalsa College

Punjab State Football League match was played at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar. On this occasion Dr. Gopal Singh Buttar was the chief guest and Mr. Balwinder Kumar Rana was the special guest. The match was played between the teams of Guru Football Club and Kurali Football Club, in which the team of Kurali Football Club won by 4-3. On the occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that a high level game was demonstrated by both the teams but the team that got more chances emerged victorious. He said that the winning teams of these matches will qualify for the Punjab League Tier-2. NCC cadets of Lyallpur Khalsa College participated in the state level independence parade

Dr. Jaspal Singh, Principal, Lyallpur Khalsa College said in a press release that 13 NCC cadets of the college participated in the state level function at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium on 78th Independence Day. He said that it is a matter of pride for the NCC wing of the college that Under Officer Prince has led the parade troop of the colleges of Jalandhar district in the state level parade event. Apart from Prince, Anil Kumar, Sunil Kumar, Rishik Mohapatra, Jashanjot Singh, Vikram Rana, Lucky, Akash Yadav, Ashish Kumar, Ansh, Raman Yadav, Rahul Kumar and Aman Kumar are part of this parade. Department of Youth Services, Jalandhar under Govt. of Punjab organized District Level Red Run (5 Km Marathon) of Red Ribbon Clubs of Jalandhar District in collaboration with PSACS & Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar in college grounds. The aim of the Red Run was to spread awareness regarding HIV/AIDS. Lyallpur Khalsa College Culminates Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam Campaign

NSS unit and Red Ribbon Club Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar Club under the directions of Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, New Delhi concluded the Tree Plantation drive under the theme EK Ped Maa Ke Naam. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh in his message appreciated the efforts of NSS volunteers and motivated them to involve the community in these drives to increase the impact of these environmental activities. He advised that under the New Education Policy 2020 these types of community outreach programs can provide academic credits in coming years. He added that tree plantation drives at mass level are the need of the hour to maintain ecological balance.   Admission process was in full swing in Lyallpur Khalsa College and only few seats were left in the courses offered by the college. This information was given by the college Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh who said that besides traditional courses, vocational courses were also attracting students.  He added that from the year 2024-25, admission was being carried out under the New Education Policy 2020, which would enable students to get skill based education. He said that the last admission date without late fee was 16th August.
