English Literary Society of PG Department of English, N.S.S. Unit, Red Ribbon Club and I.I.C of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar in collaboration with Rotary Club Jalandhar Helping Hands organized an interactive session on Women Health and Hygiene for female teaching and non-teaching staff and students. The resource person was Dr. Harinder Kaur, an experienced gynecologist at Innocent Heart Hospital, Jalandhar. Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu and Dr. Balraj Kaur, H.o.D. Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar provides a conducive environment to its employees and students for their mental well being and good health. Recently, a 16 overs cricket match was played between Teaching XI and Non-Teaching XI at the college playground. Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu attended the event as the chief guest. Dr. Sandhu in his opening remarks wished good luck to both teams and added that friendly cricket matches are organized every year and  these events bring out moments of joy, reduce stress and  maintain fitness of the teaching and non-teaching staff. NSS Unit & Red Ribbon Club of Lyallpur Khalsa College in collaboration with Blood Bank, Fortis Hospital, Jalandhar organized One Day Blood Donation Camp in the college campus. Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu inaugurated the camp and motivated the participants to donate blood. He said India is world's most populated country but it is sad to see very less donors per thousand in India. This is very less in comparison to the demand of blood due to road accidents, thalassemia and other medical conditions. Some patients fail to get required blood. He opined that blood donation is the supreme donation and NSS unit LKC is doing true service to humanity by organising such events.   The P.G. Department of Geography, Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, in collaboration with the Association of Punjab Geographers, successfully organized a Jalandhar Zone Level Quiz Competition. Punjabi Sahit Sabha organizes literary competitions at different times to promote this literary talent among students. Inter-departmental competitions of Punjabi poetry, essay and story writing dedicated to International Mother Language Day were organized. Around 60 students participated in this event.
