Post Graduate Department of Geography, Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar organized a one day workshop on Fundamentals of Remote sensing and GIS. The resource person, Prof. Ripudaman Singh from Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, was welcomed by Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu and Dr. Pooja Rana HOD Geography with bouquet of flowers. Punjabi literary world suffered an irreparable loss lately with the passing away of Dr. Ranjit Singh Bajwa, former Prof. and Head of Department of Punjabi, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. Scholarships worth rupees 1,00,000/- were awarded to the needy and deserving students of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar by S. Jaswant Singh Rai Memorial Public Charitable Trust. Speaking on the occasion, the College President Governing Council, Sardarni Balbir Kaur lauded the Trust for extending this financial support to students. The PG Department of History of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, organised a series of literary competitions to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of the great freedom fighter S. Bhagat Singh on his martyrdom day.
