  This year's tableau of Punjab at Republic Day Parade was dedicated to Shri Guru Teg Bahadur ji and for Lyallpur Khalsa College it was a historic milestone when its 11 NSS volunteers were participating in this national event.  Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu appreciated the sincere efforts of the NSS volunteers who walked 8 kms barefoot on 26th January at Kartavya Path as a tribute to Hind Di Chadar, Shri Guru Teg Bahadur ji and 3 Sikh martyrs Bhai Sati Das, Bhai Mati Das ji and Bhai Dyala Ji. To update students about recent developments in classical music, the Post Graduate Department of Music organized a musical workshop in which Vidushi Sanhita Nandi, a famous classical music singer from West Bengal was the resource person.
