Sharma from the Department of English, School of Languages, Literature and Culture at the Central University of Punjab. The PG Department of History of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, organised a series of literary competitions to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of the great freedom fighter S. Bhagat Singh on his martyrdom day. The first day was dedicated to various activities related to Punjabi language, literature, and culture, while the second day featured cultural programs, interactive sessions, and theatrical performances. At the outset of the second day's program, Sardarni Balbir Kaur, President of the College Governing Council, extended a warm welcome to all attendees. Platinum Jubilee celebration is organised on 19-20 March 2026 at the completion of 75 years of the Postgraduate Punjabi Department of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Various activities related to Punjabi language, literature and culture are being organized including a heritage village and a book exhibition in which about 12 publishers participated. M.A. Punjabi was initiated in 1950. This department has produced renowned personalities in the field of Punjabi language, literature and culture, due to which it has a unique history. On the first day of the program, inter-college quiz competition, poster making, poetry competition were conducted, and a poet's court was also organized with the support of the Central Punjabi Writers' Association in which renowned poets participated. The Department of Physiotherapy, Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, organized a one-day workshop on the McKenzie Technique. The proceedings commenced with a traditional shabad recitation.
