As part of an academic extension activity, the Physiotherapy Department of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, organized a visit to the 'Deep Artificial Limb Centre' in Chandigarh for fourth-year physiotherapy students. To commemorate the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction, Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar organized a sensitization-cum-training programme at Red Cross Bhawan, Jalandhar. The programme was jointly organized by the Disaster Risk Reduction & Management (DRRM) Club of the college in collaboration with the NSS Unit, LKC and the Indian Red Cross Society, Jalandhar. The objective was to foster a culture of safety, preparedness and resilience among youth. Experts from Civil Hospital, Jalandhar demonstrated the use of First Aid kits and gave hands-on training on CPR and life-saving techniques. The purpose of this visit was inculcation of moral and ethical values among students. Student of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar performed excellently in Guru Nanak Dev University exams.
