The festival of Teeya dedicated to daughters related to the month of Sawan was celebrated in a grand style at Lyallpur Khalsa College, the leading educational institution of North India. ADC (General) Jalandhar Madam Amaninder Kaur Brar attended as the chief guest. Red Run Marathon organized at Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar

  Under the aegis of Directorate of Youth Services, Chandigarh & Punjab State AIDS Control Society, Youth Services, Jalandhar in collaboration with NSS Unit, Red Ribbon Club & Dept of Physical Education & Sports, Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar organized District Level Red Run (Marathon) of Red Ribbon Clubs of Jalandhar District in the college ground. The aim of the Red Run was to spread awareness regarding HIV/AIDS. Principal  Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu in his address stated that comprehensive knowledge of HIV/AIDS in India among adults is less than 30% which needs to be increased through these mass events by involving youth.
