Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar provides a conducive environment to its employees and students for their mental well being and good health. Recently, a 16 overs cricket match was played between Teaching XI and Non-Teaching XI at the college playground. Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu attended the event as the chief guest. Dr. Sandhu in his opening remarks wished good luck to both teams and added that friendly cricket matches are organized every year and  these events bring out moments of joy, reduce stress and  maintain fitness of the teaching and non-teaching staff. NSS Unit & Red Ribbon Club of Lyallpur Khalsa College in collaboration with Blood Bank, Fortis Hospital, Jalandhar organized One Day Blood Donation Camp in the college campus. Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu inaugurated the camp and motivated the participants to donate blood. He said India is world's most populated country but it is sad to see very less donors per thousand in India. This is very less in comparison to the demand of blood due to road accidents, thalassemia and other medical conditions. Some patients fail to get required blood. He opined that blood donation is the supreme donation and NSS unit LKC is doing true service to humanity by organising such events.   The P.G. Department of Geography, Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, in collaboration with the Association of Punjab Geographers, successfully organized a Jalandhar Zone Level Quiz Competition. The program was graced by the honorable Principal, Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu, as the Chief Guest. In his inspiring address, he lauded the P.G. Punjabi Sahit Sabha organizes literary competitions at different times to promote this literary talent among students. Inter-departmental competitions of Punjabi poetry, essay and story writing dedicated to International Mother Language Day were organized. Around 60 students participated in this event.   This year's tableau of Punjab at Republic Day Parade was dedicated to Shri Guru Teg Bahadur ji and for Lyallpur Khalsa College it was a historic milestone when its 11 NSS volunteers were participating in this national event.  Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu appreciated the sincere efforts of the NSS volunteers who walked 8 kms barefoot on 26th January at Kartavya Path as a tribute to Hind Di Chadar, Shri Guru Teg Bahadur ji and 3 Sikh martyrs Bhai Sati Das, Bhai Mati Das ji and Bhai Dyala Ji. He added that this event was live telecasted in more than 100 countries and it is the biggest platform in a students' life to represent his/her state and be part of the RD Parade.
