Lyallpur Khalsa College celebrates Bhagat Singh’s Martyrdom day
The PG Department of History of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, organised a series of literary competitions to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of the great freedom fighter S. Bhagat Singh on his martyrdom day. The programme included essay, poetry and elocution competitions, in which students from various academic disciplines participated enthusiastically. Presiding over the programme, Principal Dr. Rachpal Singh Sandhu paid heartfelt tributes to the martyr. He said, “Bhagat Singh was not only a revolutionary but also a profound thinker whose ideals of social justice and equality are more relevant today than ever. It is a great joy to see our youth connecting with his philosophy.
