Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar celebrates National Sports Day

Lyallpur Khalsa College celebrated National Sports Day on 29th August 2026 to mark the birth anniversary of the legendary hockey player, Major Dhyan Chand. The event was organized by the Department of Physical Education & Sports. The Chief Guest of the occasion was S. Sandeep Singh Ghuman, international player of hockey, who is working as Manager in Punjab and Sind Bank, Jalandhar. He was warmly welcomed by Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu, Prof. Dr. Simranjit Singh Bains (Dean Sports) and members of the Sports Committee. Lyallpur Khalsa College is carving its own niche in fields of academics, sports and co-curricular activities. Recently, M.A. Political Science Semester-II students of the college have performed marvellously in Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar exams. In a press release today, the Principal of the College Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu informed that Shreya Chauhan bagged 3rd position by getting 8.20 SGPA out of 10 whereas Tanu and Hargun Gill secured 4th positions jointly by getting 8.00 SGPA in the same class. Grand Slam Performance by Lyllapur Khalsa College Student

Nidhya Sharma and Aastha, students of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar, who secured 1st positions jointly in Semester-II in University exams of MA-Geography by getting 8.60 SGPA out of 10, Varsha Pal and Pragati bagged 2nd positions jointly by getting 8.40 SGPA, whereas Manpreet Kaur and Rani Secured 3rd and 4th position by getting 8.20 SGPA and 8.00 SGPA respectively in the same class. LYALLPUR KHALSA COLLEGE NCC UNIT INITIATED VIBRANT TREE PLANTATION DRIVE
