Students of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar have performed splendidly in Guru Nanak Dev University exams of M.A. History Semester-I. In a press release today, the Principal of the College Dr. Jaspal Singh informed that Arshpreet Kaur and Mangaljit bagged 4th and 7th positions by getting 7.60 and 7.00 CGPA out of 10 respectively. The President of the College Governing Council Sardarni Balbir Kaur and Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh congratulated the students and wished them success in life. Dr. Suman Chopra Head P.G. Department of History, Dr. Amndeep Kaur, Dr. Karanbir Singh and Dr. Sandeep Kaur were also present on this occasion.

ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਐਮ.ਏ. ਹਿਸਟਰੀ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਮੈਸਟਰ ਦਾ ਨਤੀਜਾ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਰਿਹਾ। ਲਾਇਲਪੁਰ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਅਰਸ਼ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ 10 ਵਿਚੋਂ 7.60 ਸੀ.ਜੀ.ਪੀ.ਏ. ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਮੈਰਿਟ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਚੌਥਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਮੰਗਲਜੀਤ ਨੇ 7.00 ਸੀ.ਜੀ.ਪੀ.ਏ. ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੱਤਵਾਂ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸਰਦਾਰਨੀ ਬਲਬੀਰ ਕੌਰ, ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਗਵਰਨਿੰਗ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਜਸਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਜਸਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿਚ ਹੋਰ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਅਤੇ ਲਗਨ ਨਾਲ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਡਾ. ਸੁਮਨ ਚੋਪੜਾ ਮੁਖੀ ਹਿਸਟਰੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ, ਡਾ. ਅਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ, ਡਾ. ਕਰਨਵੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਸੰਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਵੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ।
