Govt of India Invited Lyallpur Khalsa College NSS Volunteers as Special Guests in 78th Independence Day Celebrations

Lyallpur Khalsa College provides ample opportunities to its students to excel and showcase their skills and talents at state and national level platforms. Recently, only 02 NSS volunteers were selected from all Guru Nanak Dev University affiliated colleges as Special Guests for 78th Independence Day Celebrations and both were from LKC. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh congratulated the volunteers, Jaskaran Gadhra and Kritika, and said that their dedication towards environment and society has been so exemplary that the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India has recognized it and invited them to New Delhi as Special Guests. He assured that college will leave no stone unturned to inculcate values related to environment and society amongst its students so that they can avail such wonderful chances. Chief Program Officer Prof. Satpal Singh informed that the year 2024 has been very special for the college as 02 NSS volunteers were selected for 78thIndependence Day celebrations and a record 04 female NSS volunteers have already participated and represented Punjab at Republic Day Celebrations 2024 which is a rare feat in a single year. Both volunteers paid their gratitude to the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, NSS Directorate Chandigarh, Youth Services, Govt. of Punjab, President Governing Council, Principal and LKC NSS Unit to provide such a platform.

ਲਾਇਲਪੁਰ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ ਦੇ ਪਲੇਟਫਾਰਮਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੁਨਰ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਮੌਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹਾਲ ਹੀ ਵਿੱਚ, 78ਵੇਂ ਸੁਤੰਤਰਤਾ ਦਿਵਸ ਦੇ ਜਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਿਰਫ 02 ਐਨ.ਐਸ.ਐਸ. ਵਾਲੰਟੀਅਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਮਹਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਵਜੋਂ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਹੀ ਲਾਇਲਪੁਰ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਹਨ। ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਜਸਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰਾਂ ਜਸਕਰਨ ਗਧਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਤਿਕਾ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਇੰਨਾ ਮਿਸਾਲੀ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਯੁਵਕ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਡ ਮੰਤਰਾਲੇ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਨਤਾ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਕਾਲਜ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਭਲਾਈ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਕਦਰਾਂ-ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਹਰ ਸੰਭਵ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਮੌਕਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਲਾਭ ਉਠਾ ਸਕਣ। ਮੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਅਫਸਰ ਪ੍ਰੋ: ਸਤਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਾਲ 2024 ਕਾਲਜ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਖਾਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ 2024 ਦੇ ਸੁਤੰਤਰਤਾ ਦਿਵਸ ਸਮਾਰੋਹਾਂ ਲਈ 02 ਐਨ.ਐਸ.ਐਸ. ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਰਿਕਾਰਡ 04 ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਐਨ.ਐਸ.ਐਸ. ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਗਣਤੰਤਰ ਦਿਵਸ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ 2024 ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਨਿਧਤਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ। ਦੋਵੇਂ ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਪਲੇਟਫਾਰਮ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਯੁਵਾ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਡ ਮੰਤਰਾਲੇ, ਐਨ.ਐਸ.ਐਸ. ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟੋਰੇਟ, ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਗਵਰਨਿੰਗ ਕੌਂਸਲ, ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਅਤੇ ਐਲਕੇਸੀ ਐਨ.ਐਸ.ਐਸ. ਯੂਨਿਟ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ।
