  Dr Jaspal Singh Principal Lyallpur Khalsa College was honoured in the state level conference on Changing Trends in Higher Education organized by the Higher Education Department of Punjab at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. 03 NSS volunteers of Lyallpur Khalsa College participated in Adventure Camp organized by the Department of Youth Affairs, Government of Punjab in July, 2024. In a solemn and stirring ceremony, the NCC Cadets of Lyallpur Khalsa College paid heartfelt tribute to the valour and sacrifice of Indian soldiers during the Kargil Conflict on the 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas. The commemoration, held on the college campus, was marked by an outpouring of respect and patriotism from students, faculty. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh gave a message to the cadets and other students that service to the motherland of the country is the greatest service. In Operation Vijay, 545 soldiers gave the supreme sacrifice for the security of the country. 1536 soldiers were injured. Today, 25 years of Kargil victory have been completed. 30 cadets of NCC (Army Wing) of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar have performed brilliantly in the combined annual training camp concluded recently. A ten-day Folk Dance Bhangra training camp was organized from 11.07.2024 to 20.07.2024 with the aim of promoting Punjabi folk dances at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar. More than 400 Bhangra lovers aged from three years to 60 years participated in this camp. Dr. Amandeep Singh, Director, Department of Youth Welfare, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar was the Chief Guest on the last day of this camp.   A 10-day Punjabi folk dance Bhangra training camp for the preservation of Punjabi heritage was inaugrated on 11.07.2024 at the open air theater of the college. The chief guest of the opening ceremony of this camp was Vice Principal Prof. Jasreen Kaur. She was welcomed by Dr. Palwinder Singh, Dean Cultural Affairs, Dr. Navdeep Kaur, Dr. Balraj Kaur and the organizing committee with a bouquet of flowers. Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar and Sahitya Kala Kendra organized a public presentation ceremony of the unique and very important book "Chitran Da Sahitya Sumail" written by versatile writer Santokh Bhullar. The book is about the cultural history of the portraits of Punjabi literary figures as portrayed by internationally renowned Punjabi painter Sardar Saroop Singh. The event was held at the college auditorium. In this book, one hundred and fifteen Punjabi writers related to Sufi, Gurmat, Qisa and modern literary trends along with portraits prepared by Saroop Singh of personalities belonging to five other cultures and informative written by Santokh Bhullar about the life and contribution of those personalities are included.
