Lyallpur Khalsa College Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh honored

  Dr Jaspal Singh Principal Lyallpur Khalsa College was honoured in the state level conference on Changing Trends in Higher Education organized by the Higher Education Department of Punjab at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. He received this award owing to the achievement of A Grade by the College in the third cycle of NAAC assessment and accreditation. S. Harjot Singh Bains Hon'ble Minister of Higher Education, Mr. K.K. Lyallpur Khalsa College's Students Participated in Punjab Govt Sponsored Adventure Camp

03 NSS volunteers of Lyallpur Khalsa College participated in Adventure Camp organized by the Department of Youth Affairs, Government of Punjab in July, 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh congratulated the participants and opined that students' participation in these camps is very crucial in the overall growth of the students.  He added that these camps test stamina, team spirit and discipline of the attendees. In a solemn and stirring ceremony, the NCC Cadets of Lyallpur Khalsa College paid heartfelt tribute to the valour and sacrifice of Indian soldiers during the Kargil Conflict on the 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas. The commemoration, held on the college campus, was marked by an outpouring of respect and patriotism from students, faculty. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh gave a message to the cadets and other students that service to the motherland of the country is the greatest service. In Operation Vijay, 545 soldiers gave the supreme sacrifice for the security of the country. 1536 soldiers were injured. Today, 25 years of Kargil victory have been completed. Students and all Indians should take a pledge to contribute their due for the freedom and security of the country. Fulfilling the constitutional obligations enshrined in the constitution is also patriotism. Excellent performance of cadets of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar in Combined Annual Training Camp

30 cadets of NCC (Army Wing) of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar have performed brilliantly in the combined annual training camp concluded recently. These cadets were honored on their return by Prof. Jasreen Kaur, Vice-Principal of the college. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh in his message said that the NCC cadets of our college are performing very well in the state level and national level activities. He congratulated the cadets for their excellent performance. He said that the college provides opportunities to its students to advance in every field. A ten-day Folk Dance Bhangra training camp was organized from 11.07.2024 to 20.07.2024 with the aim of promoting Punjabi folk dances at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar. More than 400 Bhangra lovers aged from three years to 60 years participated in this camp. Dr. Amandeep Singh, Director, Department of Youth Welfare, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar was the Chief Guest on the last day of this camp. He was welcomed by Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh with a bouquet. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that Dr. Amandeep Singh has a valuable contribution in promoting Punjabi culture and heritage. The new academic session of 2024-25 commenced at Lyallpur Khalsa College with recitation of Sri Sukhmani Sahib and Kirtan by  Ragi Jatha led by Bhai Gurtej Singh  an  old student of the college. The programme was attended by the Governing Council, Principal, Staff members and students of the college. Speaking on the occasion Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh reiterated the commitment of the college to quality education and overall development of its students. He expressed his hope that the coordination between students and staff of the college would continue to bring laurels in the coming years.  The occasion was witnessed by the presence of S. 10 Day Punjabi Folk Dance Camp Begins at Lyallpur Khalsa College

  A 10-day Punjabi folk dance Bhangra training camp for the preservation of Punjabi heritage was inaugrated on 11.07.2024 at the open air theater of the college. The chief guest of the opening ceremony of this camp was Vice Principal Prof. Jasreen Kaur. She was welcomed by Dr. Palwinder Singh, Dean Cultural Affairs, Dr. Navdeep Kaur, Dr. Balraj Kaur and the organizing committee with a bouquet of flowers. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh in his message stated the purpose of the camp and said that Lyallpur Khasla College is continuously working for the promotion of Bhangra. Students of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar have performed splendidly in Guru Nanak Dev University exams of B.C.A. Semester-I. In a press release today, the Principal of the College Dr. Jaspal Singh informed that bagged 2nd position by getting 8.73 CGPA out of 10. Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Release of Santokh Bhullar's book on Saroop Singh's painting at Lyallpur Khalsa College

Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar and Sahitya Kala Kendra organized a public presentation ceremony of the unique and very important book "Chitran Da Sahitya Sumail" written by versatile writer Santokh Bhullar. The book is about the cultural history of the portraits of Punjabi literary figures as portrayed by internationally renowned Punjabi painter Sardar Saroop Singh. The event was held at the college auditorium. In this book, one hundred and fifteen Punjabi writers related to Sufi, Gurmat, Qisa and modern literary trends along with portraits prepared by Saroop Singh of personalities belonging to five other cultures and informative written by Santokh Bhullar about the life and contribution of those personalities are included.
