Release of Santokh Bhullar's book on Saroop Singh's painting at Lyallpur Khalsa College

Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar and Sahitya Kala Kendra organized a public presentation ceremony of the unique and very important book "Chitran Da Sahitya Sumail" written by versatile writer Santokh Bhullar. The book is about the cultural history of the portraits of Punjabi literary figures as portrayed by internationally renowned Punjabi painter Sardar Saroop Singh. The event was held at the college auditorium. In this book, one hundred and fifteen Punjabi writers related to Sufi, Gurmat, Qisa and modern literary trends along with portraits prepared by Saroop Singh of personalities belonging to five other cultures and informative written by Santokh Bhullar about the life and contribution of those personalities are included. Darshan Khatkar, the leading poet and thinker of the Punjabi Jujhar Vidrohi poetry movement, attended the event as the chief guest and along with him, prominent writer Bachint Kaur, Shiromani journalist and writer Kuldeep Singh Bedi, Eng. Lyallpur Khalsa College Prof. Satpal Singh wins Best Teacher Award

 



Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar is committed to provide ample opportunities to its staff and students for their overall growth and career advancement. College staff and students also repay the faith by achieving glory at competent platforms. Recently, NSS Program Officer Prof Satpal Singh won the Award of Honor for Best Teacher in the Environment Championship 2024 organized by National Edu Trust of India under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India. Principal Dr Jaspal Singh felicitated the winner and said that LKC supports its staff to reach higher milestones in their pursuit of career advancement. He added that consistent hard work always bears fruits. He informed that this award has been given for motivating students to embrace environmental consciousness and instilling a sense of responsibility towards sustainability. Prof Satpal Singh thanked the College Governing Council, Principal and NSS RD Chandigarh for providing such an opportunity. He dedicated this award to NSS volunteers who worked with him in collective environmental endeavours.


ਲਾਇਲਪੁਰ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੱਚੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਦੀ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਲਈ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਮੌਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੈ। ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਯੋਗ ਪਲੇਟਫਾਰਮਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਮਾਣ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਸ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਦੀ ਅਦਾਇਗੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਹਾਲ ਹੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਐਨ.ਐਸ.ਐਸ. ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਅਫਸਰ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸਤਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਮਾਈਕਰੋ, ਸਮਾਲ ਐਂਡ ਮੀਡੀਅਮ ਇੰਟਰਪ੍ਰਾਈਜਿਜ਼ ਮੰਤਰਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਐਜੂ ਟਰੱਸਟ ਆਫ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ 2024 ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਵੋਤਮ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਲਈ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਦਾ ਪੁਰਸਕਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਜਸਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸਤਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕਾਲਜ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਟਾਫ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਦੀ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਲਈ ਉੱਚੇ ਮੀਲ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਲਈ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਦਾ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਫਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਪੁਰਸਕਾਰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਚੇਤਨਾ ਅਪਣਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸਤਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਾਲਜ ਗਵਰਨਿੰਗ ਕੌਂਸਲ, ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਜਸਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਐਨ.ਐਸ.ਐਸ. ਆਰ.ਡੀ. ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਹ ਪੁਰਸਕਾਰ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਐਨ.ਐਸ.ਐਸ. ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਲ 2023-24 ਵਿਚ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਧ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਹਿਸਾ ਲਿਆ।
