Release of Santokh Bhullar's book on Saroop Singh's painting at Lyallpur Khalsa College

Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar and Sahitya Kala Kendra organized a public presentation ceremony of the unique and very important book "Chitran Da Sahitya Sumail" written by versatile writer Santokh Bhullar. The book is about the cultural history of the portraits of Punjabi literary figures as portrayed by internationally renowned Punjabi painter Sardar Saroop Singh. The event was held at the college auditorium. In this book, one hundred and fifteen Punjabi writers related to Sufi, Gurmat, Qisa and modern literary trends along with portraits prepared by Saroop Singh of personalities belonging to five other cultures and informative written by Santokh Bhullar about the life and contribution of those personalities are included. Lyallpur Khalsa College organizes Inter-Staff Volleyball League, Fun and Fitness Events

  A Volleyball League-2024, Fun and Fitness Events were organized at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar by the Department of Physical Education and Sports in which staff of the college participated enthusiastically. Three teams LKC Spartans, LKC Warriors and LKC Fighters were formed in this league tournament and Fearless Fairies, Luna Lionesses, Golden Goddesses and Thunder Queens were formed for fun and fitness events which included members of both teaching and non teaching faculty. At the beginning of the tournament, Dr. S.S. Bains Dean Sports introduced the players to Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh who advised the players to play with full sportsmanship.  Captain of LKC Spartans was Prof. Ajay Kumar, Dr. Dinkar Sharma was the captain of LKC Warriors while Captain of LKC Fighters was Dr. Palwinder Singh. Lyallpur Khalsa College's record victory at National Youth Parliament Festival

  Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar is committed to provide ample opportunities to its students in the field of academics, sports and extracurricular activities. Recently, NSS Volunteer Sakshi Sharma, a student of MA English, created history by winning 1st position at state level youth parliament speech contest. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh felicitated the winner and said it requires years of practice and hard work to become a consistent performer at speech contests. He said that consistent performances & victories at district, state  and national level speaking contests by the students has made LKC as 'the hub of public speakers.'   P.G. Department of Geography, Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar in collaboration with the Association of Punjab Geographers organized the North Zone Level Geography Quiz Competition. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh was present as Chief Guest, who honoured the winning teams with mementos and certificates.   Six Students of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar have passed CA foundation examination conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). 16th Barsi of Late Sardar Balbir Singh Commemorated at Lyallpur Khalsa College

  Scholarships worth rupees 1,00,000/- were awarded to the needy and deserving students of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar by S. Jaswant Singh Rai Memorial Public Charitable Trust today. Speaking on the occasion the College President Governing Council, Sardarni Balbir Kaur lauded the Trust for extending this financial support to students. College magazine launched in Lyallpur Khalsa College

The 2022-23 edition of the college magazine of Lyallpur Khalsa College 'The Beas' was launched today. In a brief function held in the college office the College Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh launched the latest edition. Sardarni Balbir Kaur, President Governing Council congratulated the principal, editorial board and students of the college while releasing the magazine. Speaking on the occasion the Principal said that the magazine was an effort to bring out the latent creative abilities of the students and it included creative writings by them in three languages. He congratulated the magazine editorial board on this achievement. Gurpurab Function at Lyallpur Khalsa College

  The students and staff at Lyallpur Khalsa College paid their obeisance on the occasion of Sehaj Path held in the college Gurudwara Sahib today as a part of Gurupurab celebrations of Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji. The day was marked by the recitation of Kirtan by Hazoori Ragi Bhai Gurmeet Singh Shant. The entire function and the Kirtan recited on the occasion informed the youth about the unparalleled sacrifices and teachings of Guru Gobind Singh. On the occasion, the Principal of the College Dr. Jaspal Singh urged the students and staff members to inculcate in them the moral and spiritual values taught by Guru Gobind Singh.
