Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. One-day workshop on ‘Taping Technique’ organised for BPT 4th year students of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar under the guidance of Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh. Dr. Raju Sharma Head, Department of Physiotherapy duly welcomed the Resource Person Dr. A.G.K. Sinha, Professor, Department of Physiotherapy, Punjabi University, Patiala with a bouquet of flowers. In his message, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh informed about the activities of the college and Physiotherapy department especially the services rendered to the academic and social surroundings. Resource Person Dr. A.G.K. Sinha lauded the efforts of the Physiotherapy Department of Lyallpur Khalsa College for organising this workshop while also discussing the potential of extending physiotherapy and its techniques to other areas of scientific study for a much needed interdisciplinary approach. On this occasion, Dr. Sinha provided the basics of practical demonstration of the taping technique therapy to the students and he demonstrated advance taping technique for specific sports injuries and problems. Head of the College Physiotherapy Department, Dr. Raju Sharma informed about the various facets and the importance of this workshop while also discussing the activities and achievements of the department. The occasion was also witnessed by Dr. Priyank Sharda, Dr. Vaishali Mohindru, Dr. Harmeen Sabharwal and students of BPT – IV year and Interns.
