The Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp will start at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 11th July 2024 (Registration will be held on 9th and 10th July at 5:00 PM at Open Air Theatre)

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Lyallpur Khalsa College's Glorious Achievement at District Youth Festival

 


Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandahr is committed for the overall development of its students and provides ample platforms where students can showcase their talents. Recently, Youth Services, Govt. of Punjab organized a District Level Youth Festival in Jalandhar where Lyallpur Khalsa College students won record positions. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh in his congratulatory message said that it is noteworthy initiative of Govt. of Punjab to not only engage youth but also to preserve he culture and legacy of Punjab. He further added that these youth festivals are highly important in contemporary times as he western culture is making drastic changes in our cultural and social fabric. He wished that the winners may achieve more laurels at next level. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina informed that college participated in 11 events and won positions in 10 events. He added that college won first position in Gidha, Speech, Folk Song, Cartooning, Installation, Bhand and Rangoli while got 2nd in Poster and Phulkari and declared 3rd in Collage. Dr. Bolina thanked President, College Governing Council Sardarni Balbir Kaur and Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh for their guidance and support. During this contest, Prof. H.S. Sekhon, Prof. Sukhdev Sagar, Prof. Ajitpal Singh, Prof. Satpal Singh, Prof. Harjinder Kaur, Prof. Ravneet Kaur, Prof. Kiran, Prof. Mandeep Singh, Prof. Onkar Singh, Prof. Gunvir Singh and Prof. Nidhi Sharma played their roles effectively.
