Release of Santokh Bhullar's book on Saroop Singh's painting at Lyallpur Khalsa College

Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar and Sahitya Kala Kendra organized a public presentation ceremony of the unique and very important book "Chitran Da Sahitya Sumail" written by versatile writer Santokh Bhullar. The book is about the cultural history of the portraits of Punjabi literary figures as portrayed by internationally renowned Punjabi painter Sardar Saroop Singh. The event was held at the college auditorium. In this book, one hundred and fifteen Punjabi writers related to Sufi, Gurmat, Qisa and modern literary trends along with portraits prepared by Saroop Singh of personalities belonging to five other cultures and informative written by Santokh Bhullar about the life and contribution of those personalities are included. Grand Slam Performance by Lyllapur Khalsa College Student

Jasjit Kaur, a student of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar, who secured 1st position in Semester-III in University exams of MA-Geography by getting 356 marks out of 400, whereas Alka, Ishu and Palakpreet Kaur bagged 2nd, 3rd and 4th position by getting 351, 349 and 342 marks respectively in the same class. In a press release, the Principal of the College Dr. Jaspal Singh gave this information adding that Lyallpur Khalsa College is the only college in Doaba region to offer MA Geography and is the first choice of the students because of its excellent teaching and impressive results in university exams. Lyallpur Khalsa College Organizes International Seminar on ‘Eyes, Eye Care and Eye Diseases

Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar is committed for the overall development of its students. Under this, Dept. of Physiotherapy organized One Day International Seminar on ‘Eyes, Eye Care and Eye Diseases’. Dr. Royson Macky from Royal Hospital of Children, Glasgow was the key note speaker. Prof. Anne Barret from Leeds Teaching Hospital and Mr. Patrick Richardson from School of Bio Medical Sciences, Ulster University were the resource persons. Students of Bachelor of Vocation (Software Development) Semester III bagged University positions

Navjot Kaur of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar has bagged 1st position in the University exams of Bachelor of Vocation (Software Development) Semester III by getting 351 marks out of 400, whereas Manpreet Kaur and Simarpreet Kaur bagged 4th and 5th position by getting 333 and 331 marks respectively in the same class. This information was given in a press release by the Principal of the College Dr. Jaspal Singh. Jat Sikh Scholarship for LKC Students

  Ten students of Lyallpur Khalsa College were awarded scholarship of Rs.50,000/- by the Jat Sikh Council today in brief function held in the college office.   Students at Lyallpur Khalda College Jalandhar paid tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on the eve of his 134th birth anniversary.  In a special programme organised by the P.G. Department of Political Science of the College, students remembered Dr. Ambedkar through poems and speeches. Speaking on the occasion, the college Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh highlighted the contribution of Dr Ambedkar towards social equality and justice and also towards strengthening democracy in India. Lyallpur Khalsa College Students Win University Merit Positions in MA-Music (Vocal) Semester-III

 Student of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar performed excellently in Guru Nanak Dev University exams. In a press release, the Principal of the College Dr. Jaspal Singh informed that Madhvi, a student has bagged 1st position in the MA Music (Vocal)-III Semester by getting 365 marks out of 400, whereas Preety secured 5th positions by getting 355 marks, Ritik Gill, Takshu Kailey and Jasjot Juneja bagged 6th position jointly by getting 354 marks in the same class. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh also said that the College was committed to provide quality education to its students and it would ensure all possible help to the deserving and needy students. 13 NSS volunteers of Lyallpur Khalsa College participated in 03 different Adventure Camps organized by Youth Affairs, Government of Punjab in March, 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh congratulated the participants and said such record participation in these camps from our college, that too when limited seats are allotted to each district, is the testimony of the fact that Lyallpur Khalsa College is committed towards the overall growth of its students.  He added that these camps test stamina, team spirit and discipline of the attendees. Physiotherapy department of Lyallpur Khalsa College organized a health checkup camp

  Department of Physiotherapy, Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar organized health checkup camp for teaching and non-teaching staff. In this camp, different parameters of physical health like BMI, body fat percentage, bone density and blood pressure were checked using modern machines. In this, 107 staff members were examined. The camp was inaugurated by the Principal of the college, Dr. Jaspal Singh and the Vice-Principal, Prof. Jasreen Kaur, after getting their health checked.     Documentary film “Spectacular Hola Mohalla 2024” was today released with special preview at Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar.  Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh along with the faculty members released the significant documentary portraying traditional colourful festival of Hola Mohalla featuring live Sikh Martial Art skills performed by Nihangs at Sri Anandpur Sahib, captured through the perspective eye of camera lens by Punjab’s eminent Nature Artist & Heritage Promoter and alumni of the college S. Harpreet Sandhu. The documentary beautifully portrays the colossal traditional Festival – Hola Mohalla which fosters sense of community and also serves as a reminder of Sikh heritage and spirit of eternal optimism (Chardi kala) amidst challenges and aims to honour the spirit of brotherhood.
