Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Lyallpur Khalsa College Organizes International Seminar on ‘Eyes, Eye Care and Eye Diseases





Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar is committed for the overall development of its students. Under this, Dept. of Physiotherapy organized One Day International Seminar on ‘Eyes, Eye Care and Eye Diseases’. Dr. Royson Macky from Royal Hospital of Children, Glasgow was the key note speaker. Prof. Anne Barret from Leeds Teaching Hospital and Mr. Patrick Richardson from School of Bio Medical Sciences, Ulster University were the resource persons. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Head Department of Physiotherapy Dr. Raju Sharma, and Program Organizer Dr. Jaswant Kaur formally welcomed the speakers. Dr. Jaspal Singh encouraged the students to take valuable lessons from the research and experiences of the international level doctors and scholars attending this seminar. He added that the eyes are very important body organ and we all should learn to care about theses valuable gifts to humanity. Dr. Rayson Mackie, in detail, discussed about refraction problem. Prof. Anne Barret explained about Glaucoma disease which is a major problem for high blood pressure patients. Mr. Patrick delivered his talk on eye lenses and different types of glasses.  He focused on contact lenses in detail. The stahe was conducted by Dr. Jaswant Kaur. At last, Vice Principal Prof. Jasreen Kaur paid vote of thanks.
