The Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp will start at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 11th July 2024 (Registration will be held on 9th and 10th July at 5:00 PM at Open Air Theatre)

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Lyallpur Khalsa College inaugurated Research and Review in Biotechnology and Biosciences Journal


 Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar, on one hand is working for the welfare of students and on the other hand is creating niche in the field of research. Under this, “Research and Review in Biotechnology and Biosciences” -A Biannual Peer Reviewed Refereed Journal Volume-10, Issue-2 was released by Post Graduate Department of Biotechnology. Governing Council’s President, Sardarni Balbir Kaur, Joint Secretary, S. Jaspal Singh Waraich, Principal, Dr. Jaspal Singh congratulated the editorial board including Editor-in-Chief Dr. Arun Dev Sharma, Managing Auditor Dr. Inderjit Kaur n and encouraged the students to contribute in the field of research. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that we are proud that our teachers and students are making their significant contribution in the field of research. In this journal, the papers, related to the new and innovative research done by different scientists in the field of biotechnology, are published at the national level. This journal is being run by PG Department of Biotechnology for the last 10 years. Publisher of National Press Association Ludhiana, Mr. Tarun Kapoor, was also present on this occasion. During the event, Dr. Inderjeet Kaur, Coordinator, Microbiology Society India (MBSI), Jalandhar Punjab Unit presented trophies, sponsored by MBSI, for Best Student Award in UG and PG category to Simran (B.Sc. Biotechnology Semester 4) and Gaurika Kapoor (M.Sc. Biotechnology Semester IV). On this occasion, the teachers of the department Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Prof. Gobind Ram and Dr. Kriti were also present.
