The Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp will start at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 11th July 2024 (Registration will be held on 9th and 10th July at 5:00 PM at Open Air Theatre)

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Students at Lyallpur Khalda College Jalandhar paid tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on the eve of his 134th birth anniversary.  In a special programme organised by the P.G. Department of Political Science of the College, students remembered Dr. Ambedkar through poems and speeches. Speaking on the occasion, the college Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh highlighted the contribution of Dr Ambedkar towards social equality and justice and also towards strengthening democracy in India. Dr. Anu Kumari Head PG Department of Political Science welcomed the Principal and highlighted the vision and views of Babasaheb. The occasion witnessed the presence of Vice-Principal Prof. Jasreen Kaur, College Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, and senior teachers of the college.
