The Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp will start at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 11th July 2024 (Registration will be held on 9th and 10th July at 5:00 PM at Open Air Theatre)

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Jasjit Kaur, a student of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar, who secured 1st position in Semester-III in University exams of MA-Geography by getting 356 marks out of 400, whereas Alka, Ishu and Palakpreet Kaur bagged 2nd, 3rd and 4th position by getting 351, 349 and 342 marks respectively in the same class. In a press release, the Principal of the College Dr. Jaspal Singh gave this information adding that Lyallpur Khalsa College is the only college in Doaba region to offer MA Geography and is the first choice of the students because of its excellent teaching and impressive results in university exams. The President of the College Governing Council Sardarni Balbir Kaur congratulated the students and wished them success in life. Dr. Pooja Rana Head Department of Geography, Prof. Onkar Singh, Prof. Mandeep Singh, Prof. Priya Kataria and Prof. Anu Kumari HOD Pol.Sc. were also present on this occasion.
