The Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp will start at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 11th July 2024 (Registration will be held on 9th and 10th July at 5:00 PM at Open Air Theatre)

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Lyallpur Khalsa College's Students Participated in Punjab Govt. Sponsored Adventure Camps


13 NSS volunteers of Lyallpur Khalsa College participated in 03 different Adventure Camps organized by Youth Affairs, Government of Punjab in March, 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh congratulated the participants and said such record participation in these camps from our college, that too when limited seats are allotted to each district, is the testimony of the fact that Lyallpur Khalsa College is committed towards the overall growth of its students.  He added that these camps test stamina, team spirit and discipline of the attendees. Prof. Satpal SIngh, Chief Program Officer, NSS, informed that 02 volunteers Mohan Thakur and Jaskaran Gadhra participated in Skiing & Adventure Camp at Solang Valley, Kullu where they learned skiing, navigation and mountaineering. While 06 female volunteers Kritika, Reema, Anjali, Muskan, Mehak and Bhupinder attended Adventure Camp at Mcleodganj, Dharamshala and 05 volunteers Sonu Sunar, Puneet, Taranbeer SIngh, Sukhveer Bains and Karan Kumar attended Mountain Trekking camp at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports, Manali. He added that these volunteers learned technical and life skills of mountaineering, trekking, rappelling, navigation, river crossing, disaster Management, tent pitching etc. He mentioned that it is the hard work of the volunteers that they got selected in these camps resulting in maximum participation from our college. Volunteers thanked Department of Youth Services Punjab, President, College Governing Council, Principal and NSS Unit for providing such a platform.
