The Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp will start at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 11th July 2024 (Registration will be held on 9th and 10th July at 5:00 PM at Open Air Theatre)

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Lyallpur Khalsa College student bags 3rd position in MA English in University Exams



Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar is regarded as the premier institution in the region for its academic, sports and cultural excellence. University merit positions, contribution in the field of Sports and representation at state and national level youth festivals are testimony of the overall growth of the students. Adding more glory to this, MA English Sem III student Sakshi Sharma bagged 3rd position by getting 296 marks out of 400 in Guru Nanak Dev University Exams. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh congratulated the student and the PG department of English for this success. Dr. Jaspal Singh added that the college provides a conducive environment to its students to study, encourages to explore hidden talents and supports its meritorious students with scholarships. Vice Principal and HOD PG Department of English, Prof. Jasreen Kaur, stated that the department leaves no stone unturned for the academic excellence of its students. She lauded the efforts of teachers and student on this achievement. She informed that Sakshi has also secured 5th position in Sem I. ਲਾਇਲਪੁਰ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ, ਜਲੰਧਰ ਦਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਐਲਾਨੇ ਐਮ.ਏ. ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਤੀਜਾ ਸਮੈਸਟਰ ਦਾ ਨਤੀਜਾ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਰਿਹਾ। ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਸਾਕਸ਼ੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ੪੦੦ ਵਿਚੋਂ ੨੯੬ ਅੰਕ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਮੈਰਿਟ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਤੀਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸਰਦਾਰਨੀ ਬਲਬੀਰ ਕੌਰ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਗਵਰਨਿੰਗ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਨੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਜਸਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਨੂੰ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿਚ ਹੋਰ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਅਤੇ ਲਗਨ ਨਾਲ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕਾਲਜ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਲਈ ਅਨੁਕੂਲ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਛੁਪੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ ਨੂੰ ਖੋਜਣ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਣਹਾਰ ਮੈਰਿਟ ਵਾਲੇ ਲੋੜਵੰਦ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਲੋਂ ਹਰ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹੂਲਤ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਫੀਸਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵੀ ਭਾਰੀ ਰਿਆਇਤ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਵਾਈਸ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਜਸਰੀਨ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਉੱਤਮਤਾ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਕਸਰ ਬਾਕੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡਦਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ 'ਤੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਡਾ. ਬਲਰਾਜ ਕੌਰ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਆਹੂਜਾ ਸੰਦੀਪ, ਡਾ. ਗੀਤਾਂਜਲੀ ਮਹਾਜਨ, ਡਾ. ਮੰਜੂ ਜੋਸ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸਤਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ।
