Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Physiotherapy department of Lyallpur Khalsa College organized a health checkup camp


 

Department of Physiotherapy, Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar organized health checkup camp for teaching and non-teaching staff. In this camp, different parameters of physical health like BMI, body fat percentage, bone density and blood pressure were checked using modern machines. In this, 107 staff members were examined. The camp was inaugurated by the Principal of the college, Dr. Jaspal Singh and the Vice-Principal, Prof. Jasreen Kaur, after getting their health checked. Dr. Jujhar Singh, Principal, Lyallpur Khalsa Collegiate Senior Secondary School also came to this camp to get his health checked. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that the health of our bones is most important which keeps our body in good shape. That is why we should check it on time. If any problem occurs, it is necessary to take measures. Dr. Raju Sharma Head Department of Physiotherapy said that vitamin D deficiency is a common thing nowadays. Vitamin D is essential for strong bones. In this way, everyone in the Camp can easily get information about their existing bone health so that the deteriorated bone levels can be improved in time. After the examination, Physiotherapy department's senior teacher and medical officer Dr. Jaswant Kaur and his team Dr. Priyank Shardha, Dr. Vaishali Mohindru, Dr. Anjali Ojha, Dr. Harmeen Sabharwal advised the camp attendees to exercise for one hour daily take proper diet for health of heart and strength of bones
