Release of Santokh Bhullar's book on Saroop Singh's painting at Lyallpur Khalsa College

Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar and Sahitya Kala Kendra organized a public presentation ceremony of the unique and very important book "Chitran Da Sahitya Sumail" written by versatile writer Santokh Bhullar. The book is about the cultural history of the portraits of Punjabi literary figures as portrayed by internationally renowned Punjabi painter Sardar Saroop Singh. The event was held at the college auditorium. In this book, one hundred and fifteen Punjabi writers related to Sufi, Gurmat, Qisa and modern literary trends along with portraits prepared by Saroop Singh of personalities belonging to five other cultures and informative written by Santokh Bhullar about the life and contribution of those personalities are included. Gagandeep Kaur of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar has bagged 3rd position in the University exams of Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)-I Year by getting 829 marks out of 1100 whereas Tanpreet Kaur, Prerna Anand and Prabhsimran Kaur Kallah bagged 5th, 9th and 10th position by getting 812, 794 and 792 marks respectively in the same class. This information was given in a press release by the Principal of the College Prof. Jasreen Kaur. (Chemistry)-II Semester by getting 401 marks out of 450, whereas Sandeep Singh and Anand Sagar bagged 2nd and 3rd positions by getting 381 and 373 marks respectively in the same class.   Parul Singh of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar has bagged 7th position in the University exams of MA-Political Science Semester-II by getting 342 marks out of 400 whereas Kirandeep of the same class bagged 9th position by getting 340 marks respectively.   Jasjit Kaur, a student of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar, who secured 1st position in Semester-II in University exams of MA-Geography by getting 357 marks out of 400, whereas Alka bagged 2nd position by getting 349 marks, Anjali and Palakpreet Kaur bagged 3rd position jointly by getting 344 marks and Ishu bagged 5th position by getting 337 marks in the same class.   Students of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar have performed splendidly in Guru Nanak Dev University exams of M.Sc. Chemistry Semester-IV. In a press release today, the Principal of the College Prof. Jasreen Kaur informed that Pooja Singh bagged 1st position by getting 1495 marks out of 1675 respectively whereas Kiran Manral, Kanpreet Kaur, Pratik Mohammad, Renu Sharma, Amanjot Kaur, Dakshita, Pawanpreet Kaur and Tanu bagged distinction by getting kRmvwr 1432, 1396, 1388, 1370, 1361, 1343, 1297 and 1269 marks respectively in the same class. Annual Punjabi Folk Dance Camp concluded successfully in the premises of Lyallpur Khalsa College.

The latest edition of the annual Punjabi Folk Dance Camp concluded successfully in the premises of Lyallpur Khalsa College. The camp was conducted from 6th July to 15th July 2023 with the aim of connecting the youth to the rich cultural heritage of Punjab. The camp witnessed an overwhelming participation of over 450 participants from all age groups who were imparted the basics of folk dances on free of cost basis. The participants learnt the folk dance steps with passion and dedication during this camp.  On the concluding day of the Bhangra Camp, Mr. Channi Takuliya graced the program as chief guest and he was duly welcomed by Principal Prof. Jasreen Kaur, Prof. Navdeep Kaur, Prof. Suman Chopra, Prof. Jaswinder Kaur, Prof. Gagandeep Kaur, Prof. Balraj Kaur Prof. S.S.   Bhangra Camp is contributing in preparing budding bhangra performers: Principal Jasreen Kaur.  Lyallpur Khalsa College started 10 Day Punjabi Folk Dance Camp on 6th July in order to maintain and spread the rich legacy of Punjabi culture. The chief guest of the inaugural ceremony was Principal Jasreen kaur. Dr. S.S. Punjabi Lok Nach Camp begins at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 6th July 2023

  Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for keeping and taking forward the legacy of one of the most entertaining dances, Bhangra. LKC aka Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Lok Nach Camp from July 6 to 15 in its campus. A meeting regarding planning and execution of the camp was organized under the leadership of Principal Prof. Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof.Navdeep Kaur. Madam Principal, in her address, said that Bhangra not only entertains us but also keeps our body fit. This dance has gained international popularity. She further said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee for it. Dean Cultural affairs Prof.Palwinder Singh informed that team LKC organizes this camp every year in the campus. The primary objective is to keep Punjabis in touch with rich legacy of Punjab through Bhangra.
