Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Grand Slam Performance by Lyllapur Khalsa College Student

 



Jasjit Kaur, a student of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar, who secured 1st position in Semester-II in University exams of MA-Geography by getting 357 marks out of 400, whereas Alka bagged 2nd position by getting 349 marks, Anjali and Palakpreet Kaur bagged 3rd position jointly by getting 344 marks and Ishu bagged 5th position by getting 337 marks in the same class. In a press release, the Principal of the College Prof. Jasreen Kaur gave this information adding that Lyallpur Khalsa College is the only college in Doaba region to offer MA Geography and is the first choice of the students because of its excellent teaching and impressive results in university exams. The President of the College Governing Council Sardarni Balbir Kaur congratulated the students and wished them success in life. Dr. Pooja Rana Department of Geography and Prof. Mandeep Singh were also present on this occasion.
