The Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp will start at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 11th July 2024 (Registration will be held on 9th and 10th July at 5:00 PM at Open Air Theatre)

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. The new academic session of 2022-23 commenced at Lyallpur Khalsa College with a religious program in the college Gurudwara Sahib wherein recitation of Sri Sukhmani Sahib and Kirtan showered blessings on the occasion. The Governing Council, Principal, Staff members and students of the college respectfully attended the proceedings of the program.

Principal Prof.Jasreen Kaur in her message reiterated that there is a great blessing in God's love and the college would continue to pay respect to its tradition of starting every new session of the college seeking blessings from the almighty with such programs which have subsequently led to numerous achievements in the field of Academics, Sports, Research and Culture. She also hoped that the cooperation among students and staff of the college would continue to bring such laurels in the upcoming years.

She further added that it is very important to take God's blessings before starting any new work because the work started with God's blessings achieves success. She urged the students to shine their name, their parents' name and the name of the college by working hard in studies, sports, research and cultural fields. She said that due to the hard work and dedication of the teachers and students, this college is known as the foremost educational institution of Northern India.
