Lyallpur Khalsa College welcomes 'Drug Free Punjab Cycle Yatra' by NCC Cadets

15 NCC cadets under the leadership of Chief Officer Ranjit Singh and Girls Cadets Instructor Muskan reached Lyallpur Khalsa College as part of their 'Drug Free Punjab Cycle Yatra'. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh welcomed them warmly. The Chief Officer said that the purpose of this cycle rally is to inspire the youth to stay away from drugs. In this rally, seven girls and eight boys are making the youth aware against drugs. Five soldiers of the Indian Army under the command of Subedar RD Singh and Havildar Jaswinder Singh are also a part of this cycle rally. They shared their travel experiences in the Principal's office. This journey has been started on 25 November from 23 Punjab NCC Battalion Ropar. Lyallpur Khalsa College NSS Volunteers' Record Participation at National Camps

Lyallpur Khalsa College is committed for the overall development of its students. Keeping this view, college provides ample opportunities to its students to showcase their talents and explore their traits at national level camps. In the month of October- November, 06 members of the college attended NSS Pre RD camp at Rajasthan and 02 National Integration Camps at Haryana. Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar organized inter-college football competition at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar. Today, the first match was played between the teams of Khalsa College Amritsar and Guru Nanak College Phagwara, in which Khalsa College, Amritsar won by 4-0. The second match was played between DAV College Jalandhar and DAV College Phagwara which was tied at 1-1. The third match was played between Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar and Sikh National College, Banga, which Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar won by 4-1. S. Today was a very proud day for Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar when three students of the college Gurjot Singh, Arshdeep Singh and Princedeep Singh were selected for the Junior Hockey Asia Cup. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh expressed happiness with the staff members present on this occasion and said that from time to time the college has given very capable players to the Indian hockey team. Department of physiotherapy of Lyallpur Khalsa College visited the Deep Artificial Limb Center in Chandigarh as part of the academic extension activity. Principal of the college Dr. Jaspal Singh while sending off the students said that it is important for physiotherapy students to have knowledge of rehabilitation science because physiotherapists are an integral part of the rehabilitation team. Under the guidance of Head of Department Dr. Raju Sharma and teacher Dr. Vaishali Mohindru, students also learned about advanced artificial organs. Dr. Karanbir Singh, CEO of the center shared detailed information about the types of orthoses and prostheses, manufacturing process and usage to the students. Two students of Lyallpur Khalsa College selected in the Indian Army

2 students of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar have joined the Indian Army as Agniveer. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh while facilattaing them in his office said in a press release that both the students, Prince and Sayiam, are cadets of the NCC Army Wing of the college and are students of Diploma in Computer Science. Earlier, their written examination was held at Ludhiana for this recruitment. Their physical test was conducted in Jalandhar, in which both got 'A' grade. Indian Army has given appointment letter to them after they passed the medical test. He further said that NCC unit of the college affiliated to 2 Punjab NCC battalion and our students are also regularly participating in Republic Day and Independence Day celebrations at Delhi. Lyallpur Khalsa College Lifts Second Runner-up Trophy in Inter Zonal Youth Festival

  Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar continued its impressive run in the field of cultural activities by winning the second runners up trophy along with runner up trophies in Music, Folk and Literary events at Guru Nanak Dev University Inter-Zonal Youth Festival. The college won the second runners up trophy by scoring 73 points. Sardarni Balbir Kaur, President Governing Council congratulated Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh and his entire cultural team and winners on this achievement. Bhangra of Lyallpur Khalsa College won first place in Inter Zonal Youth Festival

  The Bhangra of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar bagged the first position during the ongoing Inter Zonal Youth Festival at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. This Bhangra team of the college has secured the first place among 24 Bhangra teams. Educational tour organized by physics department of Lyallpur Khalsa College

Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar continuously strives for the overall development of students. Accordingly, an educational tour was organized by the physics department of the college to Guru Gobind Singh Thermal Plant, Ropar and Sri Kiratpur Sahib. Students of B.Sc., M.Sc. Physics and M.Sc.
