Hockey players added laurels to the sports history of Lyallpur Khalsa College

Today was a very proud day for Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar when three students of the college Gurjot Singh, Arshdeep Singh and Princedeep Singh were selected for the Junior Hockey Asia Cup. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh expressed happiness with the staff members present on this occasion and said that from time to time the college has given very capable players to the Indian hockey team. Some of these players have also led the Indian hockey team. We also have high hopes from the three talented players in the junior team that they will also follow in the footsteps of their seniors and make the name of the college, Punjab and India shine all over the world. The various sports wings of the college are functioning as a nursery to Indian sports teams due to the support provided by the college to the talented sportsmen in every way. This could not be possible without the support of the governing council of the college which is very appreciable. On this occasion, Principal congratulated the players Arshdeep Singh, Gurjot Singh and Princedeep Singh and their coach Mr. Davinderpal Singh at this achievement. Sardarni Balbir Kaur, President College Governing Council, said that we try to fulfill the demands of the Department of the Sports & Phy. Education on a priority basis and will continue to do so. While she congratulated the meritorious students, she also sent good wishes for their better future. The Dean Sports, Dr Rashpal Singh Sandhu expressed his happiness and assured that the college will continue to produce such talented players in the future as well. On this occasion, all the members of the Department of Sports, heads of various departments, teachers, coaches congratulated the selected players and wished them for their bright future.

ਲਾਇਲਪੁਰ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਲਈ ਅੱਜ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੋ ਗੁਜਰਿਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਚੋਣਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਜੂਨੀਅਰ ਹਾਕੀ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਕੱਪ ਲਈ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਗੁਰਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਅਰਸ਼ਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਜਸਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਹਾਜਰ ਸਟਾਫ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦਾ ਇਜ਼ਹਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਮੇਂ-ਸਮੇਂ ਕਾਲਜ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਹਾਕੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਕਾਬਲ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਹਾਕੀ ਟੀਮ ਦੀ ਰਹਿਨੁਮਾਈ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਯੂਨੀਅਰ ਟੀਮ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਤਿੰਨੇ ਹੋਣਹਾਰ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਉਮੀਦਾਂ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਡਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਕਸ਼ੇ ਕਦਮ 'ਤੇ ਚੱਲਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪੂਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਕਾਲਜ ਵਲੋਂ ਹੋਣਹਾਰ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਦੇਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਹੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਖੇਡ ਵਿੰਗ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਖੇਡ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਰਸਰੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਕਾਰਜਸ਼ੀਲ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਗਵਰਨਿੰਗ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਦਾ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾਯੋਗ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੇ ਅਰਸ਼ਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ, ਗੁਰਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਲਈ ਜਿਥੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈਆਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਟੀਮ ਦੇ ਕੋਚ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਵਿੰਦਰਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਬਾਰਕਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਚੱਜੀ ਰਹਿਨੁਮਾਈ ਲਈ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਕਾਲਜ ਗਵਰਨਿੰਗ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸਰਦਾਰਨੀ ਬਲਬੀਰ ਕੌਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਖੇਡ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀਆਂ ਜੋ ਵੀ ਮੰਗਾਂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਸੀਂ ਪਹਿਲ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ 'ਤੇ ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਾਂਗੇ। ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹੋਣਹਾਰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਲੀ ਵਧਾਈਆਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਚੰਗੇਰੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਲਈ ਸੁੱਭ ਕਾਮਨਾਵਾਂ ਵੀ ਭੇਜੀਆਂ। ਕਾਲਜ ਖੇਡ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਡੀਨ ਡਾ. ਰਛਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਧੂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦਾ ਇਜ਼ਹਾਰ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਣ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਭਵਿਖ ਵਿਚ ਵੀ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਹੋਣਹਾਰ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਾਂਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀਆਂ ਖੇਡ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਡੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਚੰਗਾ ਨਾਮਨਾ ਖਟਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਖੇਡ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਮੈਂਬਰ, ਵੱਖ- ਵੱਖ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ, ਅਧਿਆਪਕ, ਕੋਚਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਭਰਵੀਂ ਸ਼ਮੂਲੀਅਤ ਕੀਤੀ।
