Release of Santokh Bhullar's book on Saroop Singh's painting at Lyallpur Khalsa College

Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar and Sahitya Kala Kendra organized a public presentation ceremony of the unique and very important book "Chitran Da Sahitya Sumail" written by versatile writer Santokh Bhullar. The book is about the cultural history of the portraits of Punjabi literary figures as portrayed by internationally renowned Punjabi painter Sardar Saroop Singh. The event was held at the college auditorium. In this book, one hundred and fifteen Punjabi writers related to Sufi, Gurmat, Qisa and modern literary trends along with portraits prepared by Saroop Singh of personalities belonging to five other cultures and informative written by Santokh Bhullar about the life and contribution of those personalities are included. Function organized on Superannuation of Prof. Manpreet Kaur at Lyallpur Khalsa College

Teaching Staff today at Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar bid adieu to Prof. Manpreet Kaur who attained superannuation after a long and meritorious service of 35 years in the Department of Political Science of the College. Praising the loyalty and commitment of Prof. Manpreet Kaur to the College, Principal Prof. Jasreen Kaur presented her souvenirs and wished her happy and healthy retired life. On this occasion a letter of commendation was also presented to Prof. Manpreet Kaur. In her farewell speech, Prof. Manpreet Kaur expressed her sense of belongingness with the institution and commitment to the society. Shaheedi Diwas of Sri Guru Arjan Dev ji Celebrated in Lyallpur Khalsa College

A respect laden program on the martyrdom day of 5th Guru, Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji was held in Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar today wherein Bhog of the Sehaj Path in the college Gurudwara Sahib followed by 'Chabeel' and 'Guru Ka Langar' served to one and all on the college entrance. Excellent Performance by Lyallpur Khalsa College Students of MA-Music (Vocal)

Students of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar performed excellently in Guru Nanak Dev University exams. In a press release, the Principal of the College Prof. Jasreen Kaur informed that Gurdeep Singh, a student has bagged 3rd position in the MA Music (Vocal)-III Semester by getting 367 marks out of 400, whereas Inder Preet Kaur secured 4th positions by getting 365 marks, Harsimranjit Kaur secured 8th positions by getting 350 marks and Tajinder Jeet Singh secured 10th position by getting 346 marks in the same class. Principal Prof. Jasreen Kaur also said that the College was committed to provide quality education to its students and it would ensure all possible help to the deserving and needy students. The President of the College Governing Council Mrs. Balbir Kaur congratulated the student and wished them success in life. Lyallpur Khalsa College Student Win University Merit Position in PGDBM

Tanishika Aggarwal of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar has bagged 1st position in the University exams of Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) - I Sem by getting 249 marks out of 300. This information was given in a press release by the Principal of the College Prof. Jasreen Kaur. She also said that students are the ambassadors of college who should always aim to make the college and their families proud. The President of the College Governing Council Sardarni Balbir Kaur congratulated the students and wished them success in life. Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu, Head, Department of Commerce was also present on this occasion.  

International Labour Day celebrated at Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar

International Labour Day was celebrated at Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. On this occasion, Principal Prof. Jasreen Kaur, heads of all teaching departments and employees of the senior non-teaching staff of the college congratulated the Gardeners, Peons and Sweepers. Principal Prof. Jasreen Kaur said that Labour Day is dedicated to the hardworking workers. She said that today is a day to salute the invaluable contribution made by the working class in the making of the country. The main purpose of this day is to honor the achievements of the labourers and make them aware of their rights. She said that the governments and other organizations are trying to solve the problems of the workers. Heads of various departments, other teachers and non-teaching staff members were also present on this occasion.
