The Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp will start at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 11th July 2024 (Registration will be held on 9th and 10th July at 5:00 PM at Open Air Theatre)

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Shaheedi Diwas of Sri Guru Arjan Dev ji Celebrated in Lyallpur Khalsa College



A respect laden program on the martyrdom day of 5th Guru, Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji was held in Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar today wherein Bhog of the Sehaj Path in the college Gurudwara Sahib followed by 'Chabeel' and 'Guru Ka Langar' served to one and all on the college entrance. On this occasion recitation of Kirtan from the Holy Gurbani was done by students of the college Sharandeep Singh Sodhi, Antarpreet Singh and Prof. Gunveer Singh, the Tabla Teacher. The occasion was duly participated in by President Governing Council, Sardarni Balbir Kaur, Principal Prof. Jasreen Kaur and the staff and students of the college. In her message the President of the college said that the teachings of Sri Guru Arjan Dev ji upheld values like sewa and sacrifice and were relevant in all times.

Principal Prof. Jasreen Kaur reiterated the commitment of Lyallpur Khalsa College to the service of humanity and said that following the Sikh ideal of sewa, the college would continue to make substantial efforts to serve the society.
