LYALLPUR KHALSA COLLEGE, JALANDHAR, MARKS AUSPICIOUS START OF ACADEMIC SESSION 2026–27 WITH RELIGIOUS FERVOUR

The new academic session 2026–27 at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, began today on a spiritually elevated note, with traditional prayers and devotional music seeking divine blessings for the year ahead.The programme commenced with the collective recitation of Sri Sukhmani Sahib Ji at the college Gurudwara Sahib, attended by faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students in large numbers. The congregation was then treated to a mesmerising kirtan performance by noted devotional singer Bhai Bhupinder Singh Ji Khalsa, (Ramamandi) whose soulful rendition left the audience deeply inspired.Addressing the gathering, the Principal, Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu, underscored the college's unwavering commitment to seeking divine guidance before every undertaking. He stated that it has been the abiding tradition of Lyallpur Khalsa College that no work is initiated without the protection and blessings of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. He further remarked that the college had achieved outstanding results in academics, sports, research, and cultural activities in previous years, and expressed confidence that the new session would bring even greater laurels.Dr. Rashpal Singh urged students to dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to their pursuits, stressing that hard work, coupled with divine grace, is the surest path to success. He credited the institution's reputation as one of North India's leading educational centres to the collective effort and perseverance of its teachers and students.Sardarni Balbir Kaur Ji, President of the Governing Council, extended her heartfelt blessings and best wishes to the entire college community for the new academic year. She prayed for the holistic development and bright future of every student.As part of the religious observance, a community langar was organised, during which Chhabeel, tea, and Badana Seviyan were served to all present.The event was conducted  by Dr. Harjinder Singh Sekhon, who ably compered the proceedings.The occasion witnessed the gracious presence of Governing Council members, the Principal, teaching and non-teaching staff, and a significant number of students, reflecting the collective spirit and unity of the college family.

ਲਾਇਲਪੁਰ ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ, ਜਲੰਧਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਵਿਦਿਅਕ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ 2026-27 ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁੱਭ ਆਰੰਭ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਮੂਹ ਸਟਾਫ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਗੁਰੂਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਚ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਸੁਖਮਨੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਪਾਠ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਭਾਈ ਭੁਪਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਖਾਲਸਾ (ਰਾਮਾਮੰਡੀ) ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਸਭਿੰਨੀ, ਮਧੁਰ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਹਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਓਟ ਆਸਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਦੀ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਆਰੰਭ ਹੋਇਆ। ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਰਛਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਧੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਅਤੇ ਓਟ ਆਸਰੇ ਵਿਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਰਕਤ ਹੈ। ਲਾਇਲਪੁਰ ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਪਰੰਪਰਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਥੇ ਹਰ ਕੰਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਓਟ ਆਸਰਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਅਕ, ਖੇਡਾਂ, ਖੋਜ ਅਤੇ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰਕ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੇ ਓਟ ਆਸਰੇ ਸਦਕਾ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਵੀ ਹਰ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ। ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਕੰਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਅਸ਼ੀਰਵਾਦ ਲੈਣਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਆਸ਼ੀਰਵਾਦ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਕੰਮ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਨੇਪਰੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ, ਖੇਡਾਂ, ਖੋਜ ਅਤੇ ਕਲਚਰਲ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪਣਾ, ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਨ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਅਤੇ ਲਗਨ ਸਦਕਾ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਕਾਲਜ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਸਿਰਮੌਰ ਵਿੱਦਿਅਕ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਵਜੋਂ ਜਾਈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਗਵਰਨਿੰਗ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸਰਦਾਰਨੀ ਬਲਬੀਰ ਕੌਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਸਟਾਫ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਵੇਂ ਵਿਦਿਅਕ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਸ਼ੁਭਕਾਮਨਾਵਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਚੰਗੇਰੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦੀ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਛਬੀਲ, ਚਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਬਦਾਨਾ ਸੇਵੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਲੰਗਰ ਵਰਤਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਮੰਚ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਡਾ. ਹਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੇਖੋਂ ਨੇ ਨਿਭਾਈ । ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਗਵਰਨਿੰਗ ਕੌਂਸਲ, ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ, ਸਮੂਹ ਸਟਾਫ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਹਾਜਰ ਹੋਏ।
