Lyallpur Khalsa College Conducts Mock Interview and Group Discussion Session for Placement Drive 2026

With the objective of equipping students with essential skills required to excel in professional interviews, the Career Counseling and Placement Cell of Lyallpur Khalsa College organized a Mock Interview Session followed by a Group Discussion Session in regard to the Proposed Placement Drive 2026. The session was held on April 11, 2026, in the office of the Career Counseling and Placement Cell of the college.The session was conducted by Dr. Charanjit Singh, Convener of the Cell, along with Dr. Jyoti Vohra from the PG Department of Commerce and Business Management and Prof. Ritika from the Department of Economics, both active members of the Cell. The resource persons provided students with practical exposure to real interview scenarios and guided them on improving communication skills, confidence, and overall presentation.During the session, students actively participated in mock interviews and group discussions, gaining valuable insights into the expectations of recruiters and the dynamics of professional selection processes. The initiative aimed at preparing students to face competitive placement drives with greater confidence and competence. Principal of the college, Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu appreciated the efforts of the Career Counseling and Placement Cell and emphasized the importance of such initiatives in shaping students’ careers. In his message, he stated that practical training sessions like mock interviews and group discussions play a crucial role in bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements. He encouraged students to make the most of such opportunities to enhance their employability skills and achieve professional success. The session concluded with an interactive discussion where students shared their experiences and received personalized feedback from the panel.

ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੇਸ਼ੇਵਰ ਇੰਟਰਵਿਊ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਤਮਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੁਨਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੈਸ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਨਾਲ, ਲਾਇਲਪੁਰ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਕਾਉਂਸਲਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਪਲੇਸਮੈਂਟ ਸੈੱਲ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਸਤਾਵਿਤ ਪਲੇਸਮੈਂਟ ਡਰਾਈਵ 2026 ਦੇ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਸਮੂਹ ਚਰਚਾ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਇੱਕ ਮੌਕ ਇੰਟਰਵਿਊ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ, ਡਾ. ਰਛਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਧੂ ਨੇ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਕਾਉਂਸਲਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਪਲੇਸਮੈਂਟ ਸੈੱਲ ਦੇ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਕਾਰ ਦੇਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਪਹਿਲਕਦਮੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੌਕ ਇੰਟਰਵਿਊ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਚਰਚਾਵਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਵਿਹਾਰਕ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਦਯੋਗ ਦੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤਾਂ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਪਾੜੇ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਯੋਗਤਾ ਹੁਨਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਪੇਸ਼ੇਵਰ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਮੌਕਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਲਾਭ ਉਠਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਸੈੱਲ ਦੇ ਕਨਵੀਨਰ ਡਾ. ਚਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਪੀ.ਜੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਕਾਮਰਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਜਨਸ ਮੈਨੇਜਮੈਂਟ ਤੋਂ ਡਾ. ਜੋਤੀ ਵੋਹਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਥ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਰਿਤਿਕਾ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ। ਸਰੋਤ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਸਲ ਇੰਟਰਵਿਊ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਹਾਰਕ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਚਾਰ ਹੁਨਰ, ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੁੱਚੀ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਮਾਰਗਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਮੌਕ ਇੰਟਰਵਿਊਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਚਰਚਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਗਰਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ, ਭਰਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਉਮੀਦਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪੇਸ਼ੇਵਰ ਚੋਣ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਤੀਸ਼ੀਲਤਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਪਹਿਲਕਦਮੀ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਯੋਗਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਯੋਗੀ ਪਲੇਸਮੈਂਟ ਡਰਾਈਵ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ। ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਇੱਕ ਇੰਟਰਐਕਟਿਵ ਚਰਚਾ ਨਾਲ ਸਮਾਪਤ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਪੈਨਲ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਗਤ ਫੀਡਬੈਕ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ।
