Lyallpur Khalsa College Students created history by representing Punjab Tableau at Republic Day Parade-2026

 This year's tableau of Punjab at Republic Day Parade was dedicated to Shri Guru Teg Bahadur ji and for Lyallpur Khalsa College it was a historic milestone when its 11 NSS volunteers were participating in this national event.  Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu appreciated the sincere efforts of the NSS volunteers who walked 8 kms barefoot on 26th January at Kartavya Path as a tribute to Hind Di Chadar, Shri Guru Teg Bahadur ji and 3 Sikh martyrs Bhai Sati Das, Bhai Mati Das ji and Bhai Dyala Ji. He added that this event was live telecasted in more than 100 countries and it is the biggest platform in a students' life to represent his/her state and be part of the RD Parade. He declared it as a rare moment in history when 11 students from a single college participated in a national event of such repute. Guest of Honor international hockey player S.Jagdeep Singh Gill praised the participants and said that these NSS volunteers have done extremely well and they would surely become a source of inspiration to other students in coming years. NSS Chief Program Officer, Prof. Satpal Singh informed that these students were selected after multiple scrutinies at state and national level. He added that the Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India has borne all the expenses for their participation. He appealed to the Govt. of Punjab to honour these students for representing Punjab at national level as well. It is noteworthy that Jaskaran Singh (Team leader) Gurwinder Kaur, Sadiya, Sukhpreet Kaur, Anjali, Kamaljeet Singh, Jaskaran Gadhra, Gurjap Singh, Abhijeet Singh represented the tableau of Punjab while Aakriti and Muskan participated in the tableau of West Bengal. During this felicitation, Heads and Deans of various departments were present.

ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਗਣਤੰਤਰ ਦਿਵਸ ਪਰੇਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਝਾਕੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਇਲਪੁਰ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਮੀਲ ਪੱਥਰ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਇਸਦੇ 11 ਐਨ.ਐਸ.ਐਸ. ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰ ਇਸ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੈ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਰਛਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਧੂ ਨੇ ਐਨ.ਐਸ.ਐਸ. ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਹਿਰਦ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਹਿੰਦ ਦੀ ਚਾਦਰ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਜੀ ਅਤੇ 3 ਸਿੱਖ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਾਂ ਭਾਈ ਸਤੀ ਦਾਸ, ਭਾਈ ਮਤੀ ਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਈ ਦਿਆਲਾ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਂਜਲੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਕਾਰਤਵਯ ਮਾਰਗ 'ਤੇ 8 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਨੰਗੇ ਪੈਰ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਪਰੇਡ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਬਣੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦਾ 100 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਰਣ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਗੀ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਗਣਤੰਤਰ ਦਿਵਸ ਦੀ ਪਰੇਡ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਬਣਨ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਪਲੇਟਫਾਰਮ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਦੁਰਲੱਭ ਪਲ ਐਲਾਨਿਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਇੱਕੋ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ 11 ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ। ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਹਾਕੀ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਸ. ਜਗਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਗਿੱਲ ਨੇ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਐਨ.ਐਸ.ਐਸ. ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਧੀਆ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਤ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਸਰੋਤ ਬਣਨਗੇ। ਐਨ.ਐਸ.ਐਸ. ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ, ਪ੍ਰੋ ਸਤਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਰਾਜ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ 'ਤੇ ਕਈ ਜਾਂਚਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰੀ ਲਈ ਸਾਰਾ ਖਰਚਾ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ 'ਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਗੀ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ। ਜ਼ਿਕਰਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਸਕਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ (ਟੀਮ ਲੀਡਰ ਗੁਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ, ਸਾਦੀਆ, ਸੁਖਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਅੰਜਲੀ, ਕਮਲਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਜਸਕਰਨ ਗਧਰਾ, ਗੁਰਜਾਪ ਸਿੰਘ, ਅਭਿਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਝਾਕੀ ਦੀ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਗੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਆਕ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਸਕਾਨ ਨੇ ਪੱਛਮੀ ਬੰਗਾਲ ਦੀ ਝਾਕੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ। ਇਸ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਅਤੇ ਡੀਨ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ।
