P.G Department of Political Science celebrated International Day on Democracy . On this occasion the department has organised an Essay writing and Poster making competition.

P.G  Department of Political Science celebrated International Day on Democracy . On this occasion the department has organised an Essay writing and Poster making competition. In this event 17 students participated in Essay writing Competition and 20 in Poster making . Students gave their exemplary performance in this competition. It encouraged the youth to acknowledged their role as future creators, granting them the opportunity to voice their vision for the world they want to build. Special thanks to Principal Dr.Suman Chopra for gracing the event with their esteemed presence and she also discussed the achievements of democracy. She suggested the students to make their life qualitative and worth-living. Prof. Sonia performed the duty of judgement in Poster making and Dr. Ajitpal singh perfomed the duty of judgement in Essay Writing Competition. Chetan Passi from  B.A 1st sem got 1st position, Anshika Vilkhu from  B.A 1stsem got 2nd  position and Jasleen from B.A 1stsem got 3rd   position. In Essay Writing CompetitionRohan Sharma from B.A 5thsem got 1st position, Nandani Sharma from B.A1st sem got 2nd  position and Tania fromM.A Political Science 3rd sem. got 3rd position. On this occasion Dr. Anu Kumari (HOD),Dr. Ajitpal Singh, Prof. Sanjay Shad and  Prof. Livpreet were also present. Dr. Anu Kumari (HOD ) thanked Dr. Suman Chopra  and other faculty members, as well as the audience and also highlighted the vision and views on Democracy.

ਲਾਇਲਪੁਰ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਲੋਕਤੰਤਰ ਦਿਵਸ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਲਾਇਲਪੁਰ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਲ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਰਵਪੱਖੀ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਲਈ ਨਿਰੰਤਰ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤਹਿਤ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮੁਖੀ ਡਾ.ਅਨੁ ਕੁਮਾਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਸੁਮਨ ਚੋਪੜਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਲੋਕਤੰਤਰ ਦਿਵਸ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਮਾਨਯੋਗ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਸੁਮਨ ਚੋਪੜਾ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਪੋਸਟ ਮੈਕਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਖ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿਚ 40 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ। ਪੋਸਟਰ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਚੇਤਨ ਪੱਸੀ (ਬੀ.ਏ. ਸਮੈਸਟਰ ਪਹਿਲਾ), ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਅੰਸ਼ਿਕਾ ਵਿਲਖ (ਬੀ.ਏ. ਸਮੈਸਟਰ ਪਹਿਲਾ) ਤੇ ਤੀਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਜਸਲੀਨ (ਬੀ.ਏ. ਸਮੈਸਟਰ ਪਹਿਲਾ) ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਖ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਰੋਹਿਨ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ (ਬੀ.ਏ. ਸਮੈਸਟਰ ਪੰਜਵਾਂ), ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਨੰਦਨੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ (ਬੀ.ਏ. ਸਮੈਸਟਰ ਪਹਿਲਾ) ਅਤੇ ਤੀਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਤਾਨੀਆ (ਐਮ.ਏ. ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ ਸਮੈਸਟਰ ਤੀਜਾ) ਨੇ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪ੍ਰੋ . ਸੋਨੀਆ ਨੇ ਪੋਸਟਰ ਮੇਕਿੰਗ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੱਜ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਬਾਖੂਬੀ ਨਿਭਾਈ । ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਅਜੀਤਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸੰਜੇ ਸ਼ਾਦ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਲਿਵਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ।
