P.G. Department of Computer Science & IT organizes ‘IT Spark’ in Lyallpur Khalsa College
In a remarkable effort to foster creativity, innovation, and competition among students, PG Department of Computer Science & IT of Lyallpur Khalsa College, kicked off two ‘IT-SPARK’, a two day annual Intra-Departmental IT competition. Dr. Jaspal Singh, the Principal of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar was the chief guest of the IT function. In his inaugural address, Dr. Jaspal Singh officially declared the event open, wishing the participants success and emphasizing the importance of such events in shaping the overall personality of students. He applauded the department for organizing this grand competition. Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Anand, Head of the Department, acknowledged the vital role such events play in developing both technical and soft skills among students preparing them for the challenges of the future. The event featured a diverse range of 20 competitions, showcasing the wide-ranging talents of the participants. These included Ad-Mad Show, Caption Writing, Choreography, Debugging, Hands-on Keyboard, Idea Snapshot, IT Cartooning, IT Collage, IT Quiz, Logic Whirlpool, Logo Designing, Net Savvy, News Reading, Pixel Plus, Poster Making, RJying, Short Movie Showcase, Software Showcase, Tech-GD, and Test Your Technical Skills. Around 300 students of the department participated in the IT Spark. The students exhibited extraordinary enthusiasm and passion impressing the audience with their energetic performances and innovative solutions in this two-day event. The competitions were a blend of technical expertise, creative flair, and public speaking. The event served as a platform for students to demonstrate their knowledge and creativity, with each participant contributing to the vibrancy of the occasion. The event was coordinated by Prof. Mandeep Singh Bhatia. The occasion was witnessed by the presence of Prof. Sandeep Bassi, Dr. Sandeep Singh, Dr. Manpreet Singh Lehal, Prof. Ratnakar Mann, Dr. Daljit Kaur, Prof Navneet Kaur, Prof. Rajat Kaur, Prof. Onkar and the other staff members of the Department. The stage was managed by Dr Daljit Kaur. At the end, certificates were also distributed to all the student participants.
