Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. P.G. Department of Computer Science & IT of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar released the maiden edition of an annual ‘LKC Newsletter’. LKC Newsletter highlights a multitude of events occurred during the academic session 2023-24. Sardarni Balbir Kaur, President, Governing Council along with S. Jaspal Singh Waraich, Joint Secretary, Governing Council, Dr. Jaspal Singh, Principal of the college, Prof. Jasreen Kaur, Vice-Principal, Prof. Navdeep Kaur, Registrar of the college, Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Anand, Head of the Department of Computer Science& IT released the LKC Newsletter. Prof. Sandeep Bassi, Prof Navneet Kaur, Mr. Anup, partner of O7 Services and Ms. Diksha of O7 Solutions, Prof. Himanshu, Prof. Harman, Prof. Rajat, Prof. Annie Goel, student editors from Journalism and Mass Communication, Sharanpreet Kaur and Sahilwere also present. President of Governing Council Sardarni Balbir Kaur lauded the efforts of the department for creating learning opportunities for the students and motivated the students to continue such creative work. She said students should never stop learning and make efforts for continuous development for a better future. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh highlighted the importance of this newsletter in bridging the communication between the college and students. He said that this newsletter will provide a podium to all the students especially those who are pursuing Journalism course to showcase their talent.
