The Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp will start at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 11th July 2024 (Registration will be held on 9th and 10th July at 5:00 PM at Open Air Theatre)

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Lyallpur Khalsa College NSS Units organize Voter Awareness Program

 


NSS Units Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar organized Voter Awareness Rally themed My Bharat My Vote#Vote4Sure. Principal Dr Jaspal Singh initiated the rally saying that in democracy voting is highly crucial as every vote matters. He added that all above 18 years age should be registered voters and use their votes in upcoming elections without any racial discrimination and prejudice. He advocated that NSS volunteers can play important role in convincing new voters to exercise their right to vote. Prof Satpal Singh, Chief Program Officer NSS, informed that the voter awareness rally was organized in the college campus and surrounding area in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Jalandhar. He added that a selfie point was also established in the college to make students aware about their right of voting in upcoming elections. During this voter awareness program, Prof. Suman Chopra, College SVEEP Nodal Officer Prof. Surinder Pal Mand, PO Dr. Amandip Kaur, Prof. Karanbir Singh, Suptd. Kanwar Sukhjit Singh, PA to Principal Surinder Kumar Chalotra, Mr. Jagdish and NSS volunteers were present.
