The Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp will start at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 11th July 2024 (Registration will be held on 9th and 10th July at 5:00 PM at Open Air Theatre)

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Flower Exhibition in Lyallpur Khalsa College

 




The creative skills of students in the backdrop of natural beauty of the college campus were given expression in the event Flower Exhibition 2024 in Lyallpur Khalsa College. The college Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh inaugurated the event organised by the Departments of Zoology & Botany. The event witnessed participation of students in activities like flowering pots decoration, campus and flower photography competition, display of herbarium sheets of flowering plants. Speaking on the occasion the Principal Dr. Singh said that the events like that provided students opportunities to highlight their creative skills and to learn to accept and celebrate diversity, in addition to creating an interest in students regarding plantation, gardening and environmental protection. Before this, Dr. Gagandeep Kaur, Head of the department welcomed the principal and said that the department provided ample opportunities to students for experiential learning. On the occasion, a talk was delivered by Dr. Heminder Singh on beauty, significance, genesis and evolution of flower. In this event, first prize was won by Talveer Kaur, second prize by Mehak Datta and third prize by Amanpreet Kaur. The judgement for various events was done by Dr. Simranjeet Singh Bains. Dr. Upma Arora presented the vote of thanks whereas the stage was managed by Prof. Surbjit Singh. The occasion was witnessed by the presence of Vice Principal Prof. Jasreen Kaur, Registrar Prof. Naveedp Kaur and heads and faculty members of various departments.
