The Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp will start at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 11th July 2024 (Registration will be held on 9th and 10th July at 5:00 PM at Open Air Theatre)

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Faculty and students of LKC attended live streaming of PM’s address

 



Staff and students of the Lyallpur Khalsa college, jalandhar assembled in the auditorium of Computer Science and Information Technology Department at 9:00am to view the live streaming of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address on laying foundation stone for 3 Semiconductor Projects in India’s Techade-Chips for Viksit Bharat on 13, March, 2024

Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh commenced the program with his speech about the role and advancement of IT in our life. He encouraged the students to work hard and serve the society with their skills, knowledge and talent.

Then the students were introduced to the India Semiconductor Mission of the government, which aims to create an end- to- end semiconductor ecosystem. At 9;30 am, the online streaming of the India’s Techade-Chips for Viksit Bharat was started, herein, the PM Modi laid the foundation stone of semiconductors: India’s First Fab Facility in Dholera, Gujrat, OSAT Facility in Sanand, Gujrat, OSAT Facility in Morigaon, Assam , followed by his address.

After the address students also participated in a panel discussion on the advantages of the Semiconductor facility.

In the end, HOD Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Anand elaborated how this initiative would bring a revolution in the world of IT enhancing the quality of human life and would enable the nation to become a significant player in the global semiconductor industry.

The seminar was attended by all the faculty members and 80 students of the college.
