The Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp will start at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 11th July 2024 (Registration will be held on 9th and 10th July at 5:00 PM at Open Air Theatre)

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Lyallpur Khalsa College concludes Road Safety Week

 



NSS Unit of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar observed Road Safety Week from 11 to 18 January 2024 in collaboration with NYKS and Traffic Education Cell Jalandhar. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh on this occasion motivated the volunteers of Lyallpur Khalsa College to be ambassadors of Road Safety. He added that due to lack of awareness of traffic rules many people die in road accidents every year. This loss of life could be minimized by spreading awareness about rules related to road safety. Chief Program Officer Prof. Satpal Singh informed that the road safety week was initiated on 11th January 2024 in a seminar where Mr Shamsher Singh, ASI, Traffic Education Cell, through his observations and experiences, explained the ways to save lives on road. On the fifth day of the program, the volunteers rallied from the college to PAP Chowk by raising slogans. Moreover, volunteers made the vehicle owners aware at BSF Chowk and PAP Chowk by showing placards and posters regarding road safety instructions. During this event, Traffic Education Cell representatives guided the volunteers on road. The program concluded at BMC Chowk with Awareness Rally.
