The Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp will start at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 11th July 2024 (Registration will be held on 9th and 10th July at 5:00 PM at Open Air Theatre)

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. 04 Female Students of Lyallpur Khalsa College will be part of 75th Republic Day Celebrations at Kartavya Path, New Delhi

 


It is a matter of pride for Jalandhar that 04 NSS volunteers of Lyallpur Khalsa College will participate in 75th Republic Day Celebrations at Kartavya Path, New Delhi. Principal Dr Jaspal Singh in his message congratulated the volunteers and said that 04 female volunteers of the college representing Punjab in the grand celebrations is very symbolic for this year's Republic Day's theme of  Women Empowerment. He added that the college leaves no stone unturned to provide national level platforms to its students where they can showcase their talents. Chief Program Officer Prof Satpal Singh informed that this is the first time that not only one but 04 female volunteers are participating from our college. These volunteers are preparing in a camp at New Delhi. It is notable that Madhvi, student of BCA, is the only NSS volunteer selected from Guru Nanak Dev University and affiliated colleges to represent Punjab in NSS Contingent Parade at Kartavya Path. Gudiya Verma and Honey, students of BA, will participate in the tableau of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways while Chetna, student of MA History, will represent the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology in the tableau on 75th Republic Day Celebrations which will be telecasted live.
