The Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp will start at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 11th July 2024 (Registration will be held on 9th and 10th July at 5:00 PM at Open Air Theatre)

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Lyallpur Khalsa College NSS Volunteers attended 5 Day State Level Youth Training Workshop

 


Lyallpur Khalsa College provides ample opportunities to its students for their overall development and skill enhancement. Recently, 10 NSS volunteers successfully completed State Level Youth Training Workshop organized by Department of Youth Services, Govt of Punjab at Chandigarh. Principal Dr Jaspal Singh congratulated the attendees and advised them to utilize the learnt skills properly. He motivated them to start their own business ventures as per their skills. He also congratulated NSS Unit for providing such skill oriented platforms to volunteers. Chief Program Officer Prof Satpal Singh informed that the volunteers learnt the art of self earning, entrepreneurship skills, cyber crime prevention, leadership skills, adventure traveling, career development, moral values, safety and social security from experts from industry and academia. Volunteers Jaskaran Gadhra, Agam Kumar, Manish, Mohan Thakur, Kritika, Diksha, Mehak Mehra, Manpreet, Harsimranjit, Ritika who attended this workshop, thanked Youth Services Punjab, President, College Governing Council, Principal and NSS Unit for providing such career defining opportunity.
