Release of Santokh Bhullar's book on Saroop Singh's painting at Lyallpur Khalsa College

Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar and Sahitya Kala Kendra organized a public presentation ceremony of the unique and very important book "Chitran Da Sahitya Sumail" written by versatile writer Santokh Bhullar. The book is about the cultural history of the portraits of Punjabi literary figures as portrayed by internationally renowned Punjabi painter Sardar Saroop Singh. The event was held at the college auditorium. In this book, one hundred and fifteen Punjabi writers related to Sufi, Gurmat, Qisa and modern literary trends along with portraits prepared by Saroop Singh of personalities belonging to five other cultures and informative written by Santokh Bhullar about the life and contribution of those personalities are included. NSS unit Lyallpur Khalsa College concludes Seven Day Special Camp

  NSS Special camp on the theme of "Cleanliness and Self Development" concluded in grandeur at College campus. The program was presided by worthy Principal Dr.Jaspal Singh. Mr. Surinder Saini, a renowned social worker was the Guest of Honour. The valedictory cultural program was devoted to "National Integrity- Ek Bharat Sreshtha Bharat". Lyallpur Khalsa College NSS Volunteers attended 5 Day State Level Youth Training Workshop

  Lyallpur Khalsa College provides ample opportunities to its students for their overall development and skill enhancement. Recently, 10 NSS volunteers successfully completed State Level Youth Training Workshop organized by Department of Youth Services, Govt of Punjab at Chandigarh. Principal Dr Jaspal Singh congratulated the attendees and advised them to utilize the learnt skills properly. He motivated them to start their own business ventures as per their skills. NSS Special Camp going on at Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar

  Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar is committed for the overall development of its students. Under the direction of Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, a Special Seven Day NSS Camp is being organized at the adopted village Johlan from 23rd Dec. 2023. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh initiated the camp and motivated the campers to participate in the camp with discipline and punctuality. He added that these camps are very vital for youth as they get an opportunity to learn about team work, discipline, national integrity, self maintenance, and cleanliness.   Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar continuously strives for the all-round development of students. Accordingly, an educational tour of Krishi Vigaan Kendra, Kapurthala was organized by the Department of Physiotherapy of the college in which BPT part II, III and IV year students of the department participated. While sending off this educational tour, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh greeted the students and Head of Department Dr. Raju Sharma. He said that such field visits not only enhance the knowledge of the students but also provide practical experience to the students. During the educational tour, Dr. Harinder Singh, Associate Director of Krishi Vigaan Kendra, Kapurthala and his assistants Dr. Avneet Kaur and Dr. Suman organized a knowledge-enhancing lecture for the students. Lyallpur Khalsa College lifts University Rifle Shooting and Pistol Shooting Championship

  Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar has won Guru Nanak Dev University inter college Rifle Shooting and Pistol Shooting Championships third time in a row. This information was given by the College Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh who congratulated college Dean Sports Dr.  Simranjeet Singh Bains, Coach Ms. Rajwinder Kaur, staff members and players on this achievement. He also said that student Manpreet Singh Basra created a record in Rifle shooting by securing 596/600 points which he got by hit Bull's Eye in 56 out of 60 targets. He also informed that Umesh Chaudhary of the college secured first position in Pistol shooting by securing 589/600 points. Students Uday Singh Thakur and Amritpal also performed well. Prof. Ajay Kumar, Mr. Jagdish Singh, Mr. Amrit Lal Saini, Mr. Sunil Kumar and other staff member were present on this occasion.

Gurupurab Celebrated in Lyallpur Khalsa College

  The students and staff at Lyallpur Khalsa College paid their obeisance on the occasion of Sehaj Path held in the college Gurudwara today as a part of  Gurupurab celebrations of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Lyallpur Khalsa College NSS volunteers attended One Week Advanced E-SDP workshop at NIT Jalandhar

Recently, 03 NSS volunteers attended one week Advanced E-SDP workshop on Installation and Commissioning of Solar Plant for Net-Zero Energy Buildings sponsored by Ministry of MSME, Govt of India. Principal Dr Jaspal Singh congratulated the volunteers and encouraged them to think about their own start up projects in solar energy and help in reduction of energy consumption and pollution. NSS Chief Program Officer, Prof Satpal Singh informed that during this workshop, volunteers visited thermal units, solar plants and learnt to install, harness and market the renewable energy source. Lyallpur Khalsa College Professor gets awarded by the Health Minister, Govt. of Punjab

Red Ribbon Club, Coordinator of Lyallpur Khalsa College was awarded by Dr. Balbir Singh, Hon. Health & Medical Education Minister, Govt. of Punjab in a State Level Program held in Ludhiana for social awareness related activities in the session 2022-23.   The latest edition of the Alumni Meet of Lyallpur Khalsa College marking 85th birth anniversary of Late Sardar Babir Singh, former Member Parliament, former Cabinet Minister, Punjab and former President of College Governing Council, was organised with enthusiasm and festivity. Lyallpur Khalsa College Observes World AIDS Day

  NSS Units & Red Ribbon Club of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar observed World AIDS Day to make the youth aware about HIV AIDS and its precautions.  Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, on this occasion, described this year's theme “Let Communities Lead” and advised the volunteers to be the ambassadors of awareness regarding HIV AIDS. He added that it is a disease that can be controlled by being aware and spreading awareness among the masses.   Chief Guest of the event, Prof. Dr. Amandeep Singh, Head, Dept. of Phy. Education & Incharge, Youth Welfare, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar sensitized the students, staff and volunteers about the causes and prevention of HIV AIDS.  To mark the day, a pledge was taken to disseminate information and prevent stigma and discrimination related to HIV/AIDS.  Poster making activity was organized by the NSS Department and the Red Ribbon Club of the College.
