Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar.  An impressive event was organized by Post Graduate Department of Punjabi of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar on the occasion of Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji in which S. Simranjit Singh from Canada and S. Jatinder Singh from USA participated as special guests. Along with them, S. Daya Singh, S. Avtar Singh and S. Tejinder Singh specially attended the event. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh welcomed them. He said on this occasion that Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji's verses motivate us to serve humanity and also encourage us to be a good human beings. He said that Guru Nanak Dev ji taught the humanity through his philosophy of life to live a life without hypocrisy and arrogance. He said that only by following the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev ji, a person can lead his life in the right way. Dr. Surinder Pal Mand, Head of Post Graduate Punjabi Department, speaking on this occasion said that Guru Nanak Dev Ji's Bani is recorded in 19 Ragas in Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Asa Di Vaar, Japu Ji, Siddha Gosht etc are His masterpieces. Through his poetry, He gave a new direction to the world. Professor Dr. Harjinder Singh Sekhon presented his views on the life and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev ji by quoting Janam Sakhis. At the end of the event, Prof. Jasreen Kaur, Vice Principal specially thanked the guest speakers and students. A large number of students were present on this occasion besides the teachers of different departments.
