The Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp will start at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 11th July 2024 (Registration will be held on 9th and 10th July at 5:00 PM at Open Air Theatre)

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Two-Day Mega Event ‘IT-SPARK 2023’ commences with full zeal and enthusiasm in Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar


 

‘IT Spark 2023-An Annual Inter-House Competition’ under the aegis of PG Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar commenced today.In continuation of its efforts to boost up the students with creativity and competence, the department organized twenty one IT Events with participation of more than 685 students from five Houses MAC/OS, Android, Windows, Linux and Chrome.

The two-day programme is a blend of technical and media events marked by exuberance and creativity from the students.

Dr. Jaspal Singh, Principal of the college was the Chief Guest at the inaugural ceremony, who along with HOD Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Anand and all the senior faculty members of the department, ‘lighted the Lamp’.

Dr. Jaspal Singh formally declared the event open and gave best wishes to the participants. He highlighted the importance of such events in the overall development of a person and lauded the efforts of the department on the mega event. He encouraged the students to take part with full zeal and enthusiasm. 

Head of the department,Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Anand, addressed the students and motivated them to continue their efforts in such events. He said that participation in events like Logic Whirlpool, IT Quiz, Test Your Technical Skills, Software Showcase, RJying, Pixel Plus, Net Savvy, News Reading, Short Movie Showcase etc. ignites their job orientation and aligns the students with IT market trends.

The performers set the floor on fire with their energetic performances which is the result of their passion and hard work.

Mrs. Lakhwinder Kaur, CEO and Director of IT Company Magna-Opus Software Services Pvt. Ltd specialized in  Android/iOS App Development was the Chief Guest of the Valedictory Session.

Mac OS house secured first position with 64 points and won the Over All trophy whereas Windows house was declared 1st Runner-Up with 56 points and Android house secured third position with 52 points.

Prof. Mandeep Singh Bhatia was coordinatorof IT Spark. On this occasion Prof. Sandeep Bassi, Dr. Sandeep Singh, Prof. Manpreet Singh Lehal, Prof. Navneet Kaur and all other faculty member were present. Dr. Daljit Kaur and Prof. Vaishali Gupta conducted the stage very efficiently.
