Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. The students of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar are known for their achievements in the fields of academics as well as sports, literature, research and in the cultural field. Even in the youth fairs, organized by Guru Nanak Dev University, students of the college achieve great victories. That is why 'Agaaz-Yuvak Mela-2023' event was organized at the college to review and evaluate the preparations of the Zonal Youth Festival of the University. Speaking on this occasion, Dr. Jaspal Singh said that we are very proud of the fact that our institution continuously strives for the all-round development of students. On this occasion, he congratulated the students, artists and teacher in-charges who participated in the Youth Festival of 'C Zone' to be held at the University from 18 to 21 October, 2023. He said that the college has set a record by winning the overall trophy 3 times and the runner up trophy 5 times in the zonal youth festival of the university due to our talented students and the commitment of the in-charge teachers. He expressed hope that this year also our student artists will win trophies by performing well in this youth festival. Bhangra, Giddha, Ludi, Music, Theatre, Debate, Poetry etc. items were presented during the event. All the presentations were carefully reviewed by the respective teachers and directors. Dr. Palwinder Singh, Dean, Cultural Affairs introduced all the teams and artists and gave information regarding the preparations.
