The Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp will start at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 11th July 2024 (Registration will be held on 9th and 10th July at 5:00 PM at Open Air Theatre)

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Lyallpur Khalsa College NSS Unit’s 10 Volunteers selected to attend Meri Maati Mera Desh-Amrut Vatika Program organized by Govt. of India

 


Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar is committed for the overall development of its students. College provides ample opportunities to its students to perform at all fronts. Social service is the platform where NSS volunteers are continuously showcasing humanitarian spirit. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh felicitated these volunteers for their service to humanity. Dr. Singh, on this occasion, praised volunteers for having humane tendencies in this materialistic and machine driven age. He congratulated college NSS Program Officers for doing such selfless tasks.  Program Officer Prof Satpal Singh informed that 10 NSS volunteers are invited for their selfless services to attend Amrut Vatika Program under Meri Maati Mera Desh Campaign sponsored by Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India at New Delhi from 29th Oct. to 31st Oct.2023 which is a proud moment for the college. The contingent includes Gurvir, Gurpreet, Karandeep, Lovepreet, Pooja, Anurag, Nitin, Reema, Mahek and Puneet. Volunteers Karandeep Singh and Disha Vij of DCA, who attended a conference on Meditation & Spirituality organized by AIMS New Delhi, and volunteers Aniket, Yatin, Nandini, Gunjan and Mohan Thakur who offered voluntary services at medical camps in Talwara and Jalandhar were also honored. During this felicitation event, PO Prof. Amandeep Kaur and PO Prof. Surbjit Singh were also present.
