Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Lyallpur Khalsa College Commerce Students Carry out Survey on Marketing Strategies




Around 100 commerce students of Lyallpur Khalsa College studied marketing strategies adopted by big national and international brands, during a field trip to Elante Mall, Chandigarh. This information given by Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, who said that during this field trip, the students interviewed, besides the sales and marketing staff, the buyers also so as to get an understanding of consumer psychology. They investigated the retail mix supplied by hypermarkets, multiplexes, department stores, entertainment zones, food courts, fitness clubs among other venues, and learned about multiple facets of retail management and marketing management in a real-life scenario. In order to fully realize the concept of 'best out of waste' they also visited Rock Garden and surveyed the salability, acceptability and appeal of reused and recycled products among people. The department head Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu said that more such activities will be organized to provide exposure to the students. He congratulated Prof. Manish Goel incharge of this trip. Students were guided and accompanied by the senior teachers of the department. Staff members included Prof. Amita Shahid, Prof. Ravneet Bains, Prof. Vivek Mahajan, Prof. Raminder Bhatia, Prof. Jyoti Vohra, Prof. Anil Gangta, Prof. Keeratpreet Kaur, and Prof. Harpreet Kaur accompanied the students.
