Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Khalsa College Cadets of PHHP&C Win Trophy for Best Line Area at AIVSC-2023


 

Cadet Corporal Arshdeep Bhatia and Cadet Kunal of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, have achieved a remarkable feat by winning the prestigious trophy for Best Line Area at the All India Vayu Sainik Camp (AIVSC) 2023 at AIRFORCE Station Jalahali, Bangalore. This information was given by the college Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh who said that in that annual camp, organized by the Indian Air Force (IAF) for the National Cadet Corps (Air Wing), the PHHP&C Directorate, represented by Cadets Arshdeep Bhatia and Kunal, clinched the top position in Tent Pitching and Line Area activities. These Cadets were a part of an 80-member team selected from among 608 cadets to participate in the AIVSC camp which included activities like drill exercises, physical training, weapon training, aero-modelling, aviation medicine, fieldcraft, air combat training, tent pitching, and line area management. Attending cadets also got a unique opportunity to witness the functioning of the Indian Air Force and interact with Air Force personnel educational visits to Air Force bases and at Hindustan Aeronautical Limited (HAL). Dr. Jaspal Singh also informed that Cadet Kunal had also been participating in EBSB camp at DRDO Bengaluru. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh congratulated the cadets and Flying Officer Dr. Manpreet Singh Lehal for the achievement.
