The Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp will start at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 11th July 2024 (Registration will be held on 9th and 10th July at 5:00 PM at Open Air Theatre)

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Books Donation for Khalsa College


 

Dr. Hirdejit Singh Bhogal, son of eminent Punjabi writer Dr. Pyara Singh Bhogal, donated about 2000 books from his father's personal collection to the library of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar. This information was given by the College Principal Dr Jaspal Singh who alongwith Sardarni Balbir Kaur President, Governing Council and S. Jaspal Singh Waraich Joint Secretary received these books. Speaking on this occasion, the Principal expressed his thanks to Dr. Bhogal for this philanthropist act. He lauded the contribution of Dr. Pyara Singh Bhogal to the world of Punjabi literary history, criticism, novels and short stories. The occasion was witnessed by the presence of the senior teachers of the college.
