Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Talent Hunt Show organized at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar



 

Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar is excelling in academics, research and sports as well as in the cultural field. Continuing the series of achievements in the cultural field, the college organized a Talent Hunt Show. In which dance, song, poetry, speech, mimicry, rangoli, painting, photography, collage, henna, cartooning competitions were conducted in which more than 115 students of the college participated. Principal Prof. Jasreen Kaur participated in this event as the chief guest who was welcomed by Prof. Palwinder Singh, Dean Cultural Affairs and all the in-charges by giving a bouquet of flowers. Principal Prof. Jasreen Kaur, on this occasion, said that due to the hard work of the students, the college is making achievements in the field of education as well as in the cultural field. She added that the College is always committed to the overall development of its students. Dr. Palwinder Singh, Dean, Cultural Affairs, thanked all the team in-charges, staff members and students and asked them to continue the journey of victories with persistent hard work. He said that the student artists of the college are ready to give their best performance in the Youth Festival of Guru Nanak Dev University to be held in October 2023. On this occasion Prof. Harjinder Singh and Prof. Satpal Singh played the role of moderator. Prof. Sukhdev Singh, Prof. Ajitpal Singh, Prof. Harjinder Singh Seikhon, Prof. Ravneet Kaur, Prof. Harjinder Kaur, Prof. Kirandeep Kaur played the role of judges diligently. Prof. Navdeep Kaur, Registrar also attended the event as a special guest. During the event, Prof. Rupali, Prof. Mandeep Singh, Prof. Onkar Singh, Prof. Nidhi and students of the winning teams of youth festival were also present. At the end all the winning students were given certificates.
