The Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp will start at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 11th July 2024 (Registration will be held on 9th and 10th July at 5:00 PM at Open Air Theatre)

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. PG Department of Commerce of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, to welcome the new students for the session 2023-24.




A special welcome program was organized by the PG Department of Commerce of  Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, to welcome the new students for the session 2023-24.  The Principal of the college Dr. Jaspal Singh was  the chief guest of the program. Senior students of the department presented gidha, bhangra, skits, songs, poems and also organised entertaining games for the freshers. Speaking on this occasion, the Head of the department, Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu , while welcoming the chief guest, Principal, Dr. Jaspal Singh with a bouquet of flowers, congratulated the students for  opting this college and this department for pursuing their higher studies. 

Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, speaking on this occasion said that Lyallpur Khalsa College has always striven to provide its students with a platform to display their talent and  to lay a strong foundation for their personal and professional growth. He  said  that we feel proud that today our students are bringing laurels for the college in all areas at the  national and international level. He blessed the students  and wished them success in all the endeavours they undertake in college for their growth.

In the Mr and Miss Freshers competition  Tamanna of M.Com Semester 1st was awarded the title of Miss Fresher and Jaspreet Singh of  PGDCM of Mr. Fresher, while Simran Kaur of M.Com Semester 1st was chosen as Miss Charming and Mr. Harpreet Singh as Mr. Handsome.

 In the end, Prof. Raminder Kaur Bhatia of the department thanked the chief guest as well as all the teachers and students who attended  the event.  Prof. Amita Shaheed, Dr. Ubique Bedi, Prof. Ravneet Bains, Prof. Vivek Mahajan, Prof. Navdeep Kumar, Dr. Patwant Atwal and all the  other teachers  of the department were also present during the occasion.
