Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Orientation Programme for B.Com, B.B.A. & M.Com and MTM 1st semester students was organised at Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar.  The Principal of the college Prof Jasreen Kaur graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The Principal in her address told new students about college traditions and achievements in the fields of academics, sports, culture and music. She said that the students should make the most of their time in the college for it would be instrumental in shaping their future life and career. She assured the students about the best possible learning environment and guidance from faculty. The new students were made aware about department profiles, infrastructure and laboratory facilities. There was introductory round by all first year students, dance, Poem and musical performances by freshers as well as senior students.  Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu, Head PG Department of Commerce motivated the students with his views on setting goals and achievement of those goals. Prof. Satpal Singh informed students about NSS and the opportunities available in extra curricular activities. At the last, Dr. Sandhu presented the vote of thanks and wished successful and bright future for all students. The stage was managed by students Balpreet Kaur (B.Com Sem V) and Apurva (B.Com Sem I). Prof. Amita Shahid, Prof. Ravneet Bhullar, Prof. Vivek Mahajan, Dr. Ubique, Prof. Parmod Sharma, Dr. Navdeep Kumar, Dr. Patwant Kaur Atwal, Dr. Raminder Kaur Bhaita, Manish Goel, Dr. Pooja Ralhan Gulati, Dr. Jyoti Vohra and all the heads of different departments and faculty members were present on this occasion.
