Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. A special program was organized by Department of Physical Education and Sports, Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar. Arjuna Awardee S. Bahadur Singh, Commandant 7th Battalion PAP and Sports Secretary Punjab Police, attended the program as special guests. This program was designed by Dean Dr. S.S. Bains, the purpose of which was to honor the various coaches associated with the department by presenting the achievements of their department. After the welcome speech, the Chief Guest and the Principal of the College Prof. Jasreen Kaur were welcomed with bouquets of flowers. On this occasion, Prof. Jasreen Kaur, Principal of the college, said that Lyallpur Khalsa College has a distinct and great history of contribution in the field of sports. She said that the college has produced great players. She added that this department is making strides in sports under the able leadership of Dean, Sports Dr. Simranjit Singh Bains and is on the way to progress. She promised to give all kinds of support to the department. Dean Sports Dr. S.S. Bains explained in detail about the achievements and ongoing activities of his department. He proudly told that student athletes of Dept.of Physical Education and Sports Lyallpur Khalsa College are illuminating the name of the college at state, national and international level. He said that we have won at various levels and this has been possible due to hard work and high quality training by our coaches. The Chief Guest S. Bahadur Singh shared his experiences and said that we need determination, true perseverance, honesty and loyalty to achieve the position. He talked about his respected coach Mr. Ratanji as a wise and knowledgeable coach and said that he is at the position  today because of his coach Sahib. He said that Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar has a very valuable contribution in sports which cannot be ignored. He also said that he is committed in every way to promote sports culture among the youth of Punjab. The coaches associated with various sports by the department including Mr. Nirmal Singh Toor, Mr. Harjinder Singh, Mr. Sarabjit Singh Kanda, Mr. Lakhvir Singh, Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Mr. Devinderpal Singh, Mr. Harish Singh, Mr. Balraj Singh, Mr. Manveer Pal, Rajwinder Kaur, Mr. Amandeep Singh Khaira, Mr. Sarabjit Singh, Mr. Dhanwant Kumar, Mr. Satish Kumar, Mr. Umesh Sharma and Mr. Samiji were honored. Apart from this, Mr. Rajan was honored for his services. In the end, Prof. Jasreen Kaur thanked the Chief Guest and the guests. Dr. Sukhdev Singh Nagra played the role of stage manager.
