Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. A cultural programme cum welcome party was organised for the newly admitted post graduate students of humanities courses. Students of MA English, Punjabi, Economics, History, Political Science, Geography and Music participated in the event. The fun-filled function was organised with the intent of welcoming the new students to the college and also to make them feel comfortable in the new environment.

Principal, Prof. Jasreen Kaur formally welcomed the students to the college and said that the students should make the most of their time in the college for it would be instrumental in shaping their future life and career. She also stressed upon the need to inculcate values of social responsibility and principles of personal excellence and care for others.

It was an occasion not only for the new students to interact with their teachers and seniors, but also an opportunity for them to showcase their individual talents. Many students demonstrated their flair for music, dance and poetry through an array of performances. The students also showcased their poise and confidence through a round of modelling. Prof. Sandeep Bassi, Prof. Geetanjali Moudgil, Prof. Palwinder Singh adjudged the modelling round and declared Kuljit Kaur as Ms. Fresher and Bobby as Mr. Fresher. Based on how the contestants presented themselves, their communication skills and self-assurance etc, Jasmine Kaur was given the title of Ms. Elegant, Sanjot was declared Ms. Confident and Sanit Sarkar bagged the title of Mr. Handsome. The stage was managed by Prof.Surinder Pal Mand, Prof. Preeti of Dept. of Punjabi and their team Arshpreet Kaur, Adv Irmanjit Singh, Mehak and Mansi. HODs and other faculty members of various departments were present on the ocassion to welcome and encourage the students. All in all, it was a day full of happiness, warmth, laughs and emotions
